PTS constantly crashing

Hi. I've been using the PTS for years on the same gaming PC without any issues.

For the last few weeks this PTS is constantly crashing after a freeze screen that does not recover. It's consistent. There is also screen tearing that I have not experienced before.

I am running Windows 11.

It suggested to repair the files. I have done this many times. I then deleted ESO game and PTS and did a full re-install. But this too does not fix the issue.

I also notice with a gamepad attached, menu screens flicker very fast between showing Playstation symbols and Xbox symbols, flickering back and fourth. I have a dualshock PS controller, not an xbox controller. I have never seen it do that before in years of using PTS.

I notice new Video settings are added. I have tried reducing those, though I have never needed to in the past as a 2080 Super has been fine. However, reducing video settings to medium and even low, does not stop the crashing.

Crashing seems to occur randomly when just walking around. As though something in environment is causing the crash.

Hero Viii motherboard
2080 Super GPU
AMD 3700x CPU
32 GB RAM

All games and sims working fine at high settings. So it seems to be an issue with the PTS.

Is anyone else experiencing this?

    Hey there,
Just wanted to let you know it's definitely not just you.
By the way, this issue is brand new for me. Whether on the PTS, North America server, EU server, or otherwise, I've never had ESO crash before, other than once in a blue moon. This all started with the update in late September which allowed access to the Writhing Fortress and Eastern Solstice. I've mentioned this in a few of my other posts, but no one else seems to be mentioning this issue, and the devs are certainly not acknowledging it.
I've been noticing a pattern with the recent updates. Here's a breakdown of what I've experienced, defining the patch iterations as I see them:
    * Iteration 1 (i.e., the very first update on PTS where the Writhing Fortress and Eastern Solstice were accessible sometime back in late September): The game was unplayable, crashing every 5 minutes. I tried it on three different PCs and even took all the graphics settings down to the point I didn't know ESO could look so 8-bit, but that didn't seem to be a factor. It seemed to crash most in the overworld if you were crossing territory quickly. Dungeons and delves were pretty much stable, but the Writhing Fortress was unplayable. I also noticed that any enemy attack effect with a large fiery or magical vapor graphic would cause an immediate crash.
    * Iteration 2 (Still on NA): This was the most stable version I've seen since the zone opened. There were still some crashes, but it wasn't too bad.
    * Iteration 3 (Last Tuesday's update on the EU server): The crashes were much worse than the week prior, but still playable.
    * Iteration 4 (The one that occurred just yesterday): I haven't tried playing much since this update.
So yeah, it's definitely not just you. I managed to get through the main quest last week (was eager to see how it ended), but I haven't really tried since yesterday's update. Maybe I'll check out some of the side quests.

I should add that I experienced the same matrix of issues on three completely different computers I don't have their make and model in front of me but I did try assuming it might be me and not the game Three different computers. Three different internet connections. Same matrix of issues as described above

We have some fixes going into next week's PTS patch that should resolve these freezes and lock-ups.
