solo dungeons achievements

Two regulars, me for fake heall and fake tank. Basically, I run the dungeon with a fake tank, and two regular DDs runs behind us. The fake tank didn't enable HM, so I didn't get the mask. He didn't whant wipe to enter HM. I don't run dungeons with a group anymore. So, if I have to run the dungeon solo to complete it the way I want, why not get an achievement for it?

    for the last its situation with belharza lead. i run it in vet, why not get achive for els if i need do that?

    They should minimize how rewarding it is to play solo to protect queue times, IMO.

    It's been many many years but didn't swtor do something like this? Some kind of solo flashpoint? I remember it being fun.

    That’s not even how mask farms work. If you’re going after the style page, you only need to do HM once on your account for the bonus drop rate. HM is never a 100% chance of mask. A fake tank doing HM and failing would’ve cost you more time with no increase in drop chance assuming you have the achievement already.

    Well we have arenas, normal, vet & trifecta achievements for hardcore players. I dont see why a dungeon could not have this.

    I mean, again, that just sounds like solo arenas. I was agreeing with you in a way that ZOS should add another solo arena. But don’t need to make “solo dungeons” as a new content type because that’s just what a solo arena is.

    i know but we get more chanse on HM. longer? on 30sec? i and tank be in meta arc+nb+necro dd line, so in that case not realy matter hm or not. 30 sec different.

    No, you don't, that's what I'm saying. You need the HM achievement. Doing it on HM doesn't affect your chances at all unless you've never done the HM before.

    Honestly it's kind of disappointing that there's only two solo content in the game. I'm not going to include IA since it was balanced around duos. If they're going back to the 4 dungeons a year cycle, they can certainly spare one of them to be a solo dungeon with normal and vet modes. I would prefer for them to be similar to VH or a group dungeon though since the round based mechanics of MA wastes so much time.

    They should not do this until they introduce a some sort of story mode that allows people to listen all the dialog. Enjoying the quest and collecting lorebooks are the only reasons I do dungeons solo. I go in a PUG for all the farming needs.

    I agree with a story mode. But, even with a story mode, I think the story mode should be less rewarding than group dungeons. I don't think there should be exclusive rewards for soloing dungeons because having unique rewards incentivizes people to group together. This incentive also encourages people to use the activity finder. The activity finder is important to remain functional because people shouldn't be forced to join a guild just to use an entire product that they paid for. The dungeons are sold separately from other content, unlike trials/arenas. The activity finder having healthy queue times ensures that everyone can do them as long as they're willing to group. If they don't want to, then at that point, it's on them. ZOS has provided them a way to find groups without having to have friends/guildmates.

    ZOS should ensure that they are providing strong incentives for using the group finder without being overly punitive towards those that want to solo them and hear the stories IMO. Unique rewards should therefore be for grouping only. Just how I feel about it.

    Well, that's what soloing normal modes is for if you just want the story, no? Doing it with a group is already more rewarding as you get 4x the loot chances to share drops with your party.

    If they ever do add a pure "easy as overland" version of every dungeon, I'd hope there are no normal group drops since it would be beyond easy and it would also encourage grouping or soloing normals or vets. Besides, isn't the argument for pressure plates in dungeons because they're "meant for groups"? Why should there be a story mode then, by that thinking? ;)

    I used to solo (multiple manually controlled characters) raid bosses in daoc. The reward was the loot I could sell while others had to roll for them when doing a raid. The game had no achievements.
