Because if you had played any other online game, you would have experienced that for similar facts compensations are just the norm. After all, we paid for a game, many paid for ESO Plus, but we were deprived of the ability to play and receive game rewards for about 24 hours... and not through any fault of ours. I'd say it's partially because how some rewards patterns work in ESO - on a strict daily basis ( endeavours and login rewards especially ) : if you miss a day, it's a wasted day, you won't be gettint it back. And while it's also true for other things, daily quests, dungeons, bg, it's maybe a bit less perceptible - you lose some bonus xp, some bonus ap, some chance to get motif, etc.
But especially for daily login reward, you will know until the end of the month that you've missed a day. And frankly 5k golds is nothing, but still, everyday, you will get that greyed square at the end of the calendar. So it kinda stick, and people get itchings.
Also some people are just angry about everything, or almost everything. Nothing new !3 -
