Compensating paying players for time lost due to ZOS mistakes is to rebuild goodwill with the player base. They might not have to do it but it is in the company's best interest if they do.
Why? Goodwill costs money, and we are obviously not voting with our feet, leaving ESO behind, so why would they bother?

I have by cancelling my ESO+ and I stopped playing when it was obvious that U33 was going to be the same bugged up mess that was on the PTS. The only part I got wrong is it appears to be a worse bugged up mess than it was on the PTS.

Either by extending it a few days or the addition of a few hundred crowns. Alternatively, is there a way to refund my sub 1 year sub, of which I've played 3 months of, so I can just pick up playing again when they sort this out?
They did this once way back in 2014. Here is a screenshot from my payment history.
Just because they aren't obligated to compensate people doesn't mean they shouldn't do it. It's hurting them a lot more to let things keep going in this manner than it would for them to give some sort of actual compensation. It would actually help them out a lot because it would be SOME sort of proof that they actually care, to some tiny extent.wolfie1.0. wrote: »Go and read the terms of service for ESO and ESO+. There comes a time when empty words no longer work. Action, or inaction, speaks a lot louder than anything they can tell us at this point.

I could very much get behind an extra week being tacked onto the Anniversary event.

The date and timeframe haven't been announced. If they announced tomorrow that the anniversary event would have been 2 weeks, but they are making it 3 weeks instead, how would that be different than just saying it would be 3 weeks to begin with? You can't be rewarded with extra time when the base time isn't known yet. Or did they announce the timeframe and I missed it?
