or at least fun... Opinions on the pts about the DC changes were not positive when I asked - basically, you were likely to take less damage but probably spend just as much time (ie most of a session) getting pulled in, breaking free, roll dodging out yadiyadiya. That said, from what I gather, Cyro isn't that heavily populated on pts. Are we seeing any signs that there's less DC spam around. Or are all the try hards still droping it wherever they can? Yes, I know, it's "easy to avoid" - unless there's a load of lag - and you're not going to die from it. But it's just... so... tedious...

If not, there’s Ravenwatch! ;) But I’ve not yet tried any PVP since the update as I intend to review my builds first. From the patch notes, to me it still sounds like like something that should be an ultimate or something an not an armor proc. We shall see…

It'll never be safe, but definitely safer. I've been dragged into Dark Convergences that would have killed me prior to the patch, but without the second pull it's very easy to avoid the center.

    Favorite Foods and Potions
    https://media.giphy.com/media/3otPoTggaYFNd1FdAI/giphy.gif
    • Parse Food for PvE:(DPS) Ghastly Eye Bowl (increases Max Magicka by 4592 and Magicka Recovery by 459 for 2 hours).
    • Gold/Purple Food for Sorc PvP and Meme Tanking:(PvP) Clockwork Citrus Filet (increases Max Health by 3326, Health Recovery by 406 [useful if stage 1 vampire], Max Magicka by 3080, and Magicka Recovery by 338 for 2 hours). Witchmother's Potent Brew (Increase Max Magicka by 2856, Max Health by 3094, and Magicka Recovery by 315 for 2 hours.
    • Trash Potions when feeling cheap: Regular CP150 Essence of Magicka pots that I obtain frequently from playing the game or Crown Tri-Restoration Potion obtained from dailies.
    • Crafted Potions: Essence of Spell Critical (Bugloss, Lady's Smock, and Water Hyacinth). Without magelight this is my primary means of obtaining Major Prophecy on my Sorc, which increases my Spell Critical Rating. This also heals and restores magicka. Essence of Immovability (Columbine, Corn Flower, and Wormwood). I use this in PvP, since this gives me stealth detection, knockback immunity, and restores magicka (better to use it when competent allies are nearby, since it might reveal that you are surrounded by multiple players in stealth and you will not have an emergency pot available after use). Essence of Invisibility with only 2 ingredients (Blue Entoloma, Namira's Rot, Nirnroot, or Spider Egg). I use this in PvE content that requires stealth and if I need more speed I'll use Rapid Maneuver before using the potion. Essence of Invisibility with 3 ingredients (Blessed Thistle, Blue Entoloma, and Namira's Rot). Very useful in PvP alongside the vampire Dark Stalker passive, since you'll be invisible, ignore movement speed penalty while in Crouch, and you'll have a 30% movement speed boost from Major Expedition (I always have this slotted when riding from point A to B in PvP land, since gankers are always lurking). My templar will mostly use Essence of Health (Tri-Stat Potion) Ingredients: (Mountain Flower, Columbine, and Bugloss).

have used it myself post patch and honestly ill say the damage is definitely lower now than it was pre patch, you now need much more people to be in its tiny 3m radius for it to really go off, instead of only like 3 people or so.

feels better to counter it now than before. The pull is still annoying but at least now you no longer have to stand still and block for ages or be pulled outside its radius.

Can you be pulled multiple times by different players who are using DC? If so, than a group running 3-4 sets could still hurt smaller groups.

If not, there’s Ravenwatch! ;) But I’ve not yet tried any PVP since the update as I intend to review my builds first. From the patch notes, to me it still sounds like like something that should be an ultimate or something an not an armor proc. We shall see…

Ravenwatch is so much more fun anyway - it's about skill, positioning and numbers not who has 3000 CP and ground a mythic for 3 months.

About once or twice during a big battle in GH do I see DC proc or similar sets. Typically it is other sets I do see. And when I do see DC it is from a ball group running around and pulling players into one area to wipe them out. The ball group typically comes along and defends keep or attacks outpost simply to pull players away from what we are doing such as sieging a fort.

For instance, one ball group was simply running around an outpost and didn't even seem to want to take it over. They simply were using DC to pull some players together to kill them. That isn't PVP it simply boring and not fun or engaging. For me fun is 1v1 or 1v2 but not 12 v 3 or 12v2 or 12v1. Which is how most ball groups from my experience work; similar to zerg groups. Zerg groups a bit easier to dispatch because they simply pick ups that are running together and have little to no coordination of sets etc.. but when you have 2 or 3 zerg groups than it becomes a problem.

RavenWatch is boring, barely anyone in there from my experience. That's at least on the US PS server.

I did stick my nose in a couple of times. DC seems much less effective at killing people - I've now deconned the one set I had - but sadly, quite a few people don't seem to have gotten the memo. Still quite a bit of it around and just as odious. It's basically a straightforward troll now rather than a threat, but god is it annoying to play against. Zero fun...

As to Ravenwatch errr... no thanks. I'm not anti the idea - we need to get new people into pvp and a newbie server where they're not going to get annihilated in 3 seconds flat by people rocking 2000 cp and the latest proc sets isn't a bad idea. But I kind of feel I did my time there. And god is it boring now... :(

It got better at first but I think there is something going on with it that I've seen a lot of repeated break free animations from myself and others with other effects timed right on top of it. Don't know if people figured out how to do something, or just lag. Lag has been much worse this week

Lag has been crazy this past week. More so than normal.

I've been seeing desync in BG and IC even. With slide shows etc. - With 473 down and 23 up internet speed. Hard wired.

OK, I think this thread has run it's course. While it's fun to demand zos nerf dks, templars, necros and what, sorcs next, it's a littl eoff topic and the questions been answered.

Mods - You may as well close before someone decides they want to nerf sorcs. Or wardens. Or stamblades....
