Diacritics in userids

I noticed the other day that there are people in my guild with diacritics in their userid. But up until now I have only seen this in character names. What diacritics do they allow for userids? So far I have only seen ä. Are all German umlauted letters supported? What about Scandinavian diacritics?

If you read that you will see they do not mention diacritics at all. I read that & read through any faq associated with the keyword userid & I googled extensively. I did this BEFORE I posted the question here.
I know some diacritics for example ä are allowed. Would you be willing to find out from whoever knows the answer in your team please. Also as MANY European languages use diacritics with the latin alaphabet updating the FAQ would also be helpful.3
