Downloader is having issues.

I keep seeing it drop from downloading at 7MB a sec to 449kb and it stays there unless I pause the download and set it going again at which point it rockets back up to 7MB a sec before falling again.
Why is it doing this? My internet is stable, strong and there's no issues on anything else at all.

sammeh1991✭✭Any assistance here? I have to babysit this download by clicking Pause then Resume. I have Elder Scrolls files totalling about 70 ish GB and its asking for another 67GB so I'm sat here clicking Pause and Resume to just get 7MB a sec. In the last 5 minutes I've done the above 5 times.
Am I really just gonna be sat here all afternoon doing this?
Downloader is set to unlimited, firewall isn't blocking it. It's bizarre.0 -

Im only downloading ESO because it's a game I know I like and I knew I had the files stored on my SSD to jump back in whenever I wanted but no, the simple act of downloading is a marathon in itself =[0 -

sammeh1991✭✭I feel like theres something not right with the launcher because its only this game. I tried this with WoW because I've recently finished playing that game but I downloaded its update and it maintained the same speed of 8MB a sec throughout.
Maybe ask a couple questions to see if this is working right? Ive spent all afternoon downloading the game when my internet is capable of far more than this. Tried and tested so there might be an issue.
I troubleshot all I could find on google and the broader internet, opening ports, allowing apps through the firewall, ensuring everything was in one place for downloading, checked my internet status (there have been issues with it in the last 24 hours admittidely but it didnt affect WoW or Overwatch conveniently).
Problem is I had all my files for ESO - all that should have happened is a quick check to ensure the core files were there and then update? No? It checked they were then then threw a 67gb update at me. With the above download issues.0 -
