I hope the usual cynics will notice that ZOS jumped straight onto fixing this despite the fact that it had nothing to do with the crown store...
The cynics will note lag and disconnects have occurred for years. Multiple times ZOS has claimed to be working on fixes, yet lag and disconnects have still occured. I will be elated if the current “fix” solves the problem. The cynics will also note that ZOS did not find this “fix”.

@Tandor I hope you realize that they couldn't work this out for years and someone else was able to. they've clearly allocated more time and money to the crown store then game performance. Even Fanboys like you will run out of money someday

Hi @ZOS_GinaBruno , thanks a lot for the feedback and the quick fixes.
That beign said, I can't help but feel frustrated that such an easy fix solves such a huge performance problem (for consoles and older pcs, at least). Many times a week, we see countless threads asking for performance upgrades, or even a bug & lag update instead of a whole DLC. I can't say for certain, but I'm pretty sure that I saw you write in here that ZOS was working hard at improving performance problems, then we realize such a blatant bug was overlooked for only-god-knows how long.
We know that lag and bugs are killing the game for many long-time players. So my question is, what is ZOS's official stand on the matter. What are your action plan for this huge issue?
Many people here asked you to give me crowns or whatnot for bringing this bug to light. I don't want any of this. But an honest answer to this question would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you,

Maybe slightly better performance in Cyrodiil and about the same in PVE zones.

Any ETA on console release? Assuming testing goes well.

So, since I started playing pvp about 1 month ago, I've never been able to rush the flags in a defended keep because the game would aways drop to atrocious fps, crash, and send me back to Xbox's home screen. I also had many crashes in medium-sized fights outside of keeps. I have a basic Xbox 1, with the game installed directly on it's hard drive, so it might be the most fragile setup, but this situation has pulled me back from Cyro to a point where I was only playing BGs.
All this until last night, where I could'nt queue in any BG or dungeon, because the damn group finder was bugged again. So I decided to hop in Cyro, to begin to farm my tier 1 reward for the month. Someone in my random group told us that a great way to reduce lag was to type your own name in the search tab of the guild roster. It reduced cpu usage or wathever. I thought this was a load of bs, but I tried it anyway, since it doesn't cost much. Well, believe it or not, after that I was able to rush the flags in 3 heavily defended keeps without too many lag spikes and no crash at all. Well, not too many lag spikes for this game anyway...
I know it's just 1 session and it doesn't mean much, but all 3 pops were locked and there was a lot of people, so it's pretty encouraging for now. Try it yourself and tell us if it helps!

As in next year? This can’t be a weekly patch before then? Sheesh.

I would rather them not add an Untested 'fix' to the game.
Also next year is like two weeks away.
