Calmly getting rid of classes in eso

    i don't really see any diversity to be honest.

    i would also be for stripping down the races a little bit and converting some of that to skill lines as well. The skill line system is the system that works for ESO. It is a fantastic system.The race and class system actually works against this system to its detriment.

    So i don't think there's anything to lose by embracing what works well. Some might say that there will only be one spec but i don't think so. I think more options will be a boon to the gameplay and instead of wasting all that time trying in vain to balance classes they can concentrate on minor tweaking of skill lines and individual skills.

    as long as they limit the core lines to three, don't prevent anyone from using the existing three, implement a penalty system ( in terms of usage cost and or effect) based on the skill line affinity or similarity to other skill lines, i don't see any downsides as to renaming the classes archetypes that serve as the base for character development. Worked for oblivion.

    the games already perfectly designed for this evolution and minimal changes would be required to make it fly. Certainly less than the constant class overhauls/buff/nerf cycles.
