I don't think there will be any large changes at this point. ZOS might make some smaller tweaks but over all the update has gone live and many are already adjusting to it.

Alcast has already started putting out videos of how to avoid sustain issues with still having great DPS as well as information on lowering DPS for better sustain if that's what you're after.

I think what he, and many other are after is fun. Combat used to be dynamic, now it plods along. Yeah people can adapt, but have fun? play with style just because? choose a compromised spec for the concept or fun of it? not any more. Choose your cookie cutter spec to be effective, or have a less effective but no more fun character.

Progressing the game means progressing the game, not regressing the players and calling it progress.
The issue was though and even the OP agrees that sustain was at a silly level.
I was running around with no a single regen consideration because I could have 100% uptime on my damage with just my CP and skills.
Now you have to be a little considerate about what you're doing, worst case is you do two or three heavy attacks in a fight just to get some resources back.

Also if people want that spamming without anything else they can still do it. They will just have lower DPS and things will take longer.

I agree that Zos will not make changes at this point. They tend to wait awhile before undoing things.

Those in since before launch may recall Zos saying their reason for abandoning the more traditional MMORPG UI they build for the more basic on was it was always their "vision" that we get our information from the environment. It took them 3 years to realize their "vision" of us getting our information from the environment did not work because the visuals did not work right and were often obscured to the great many visual effects in fights, especially trials. Now we have buff trackers build in.

I doubt this will be your last thread or post. I very much doubt you'll quit the game as well.

Try babysitting a group of new players through a normal pledge. Used to be fun, now it a drudge.

I'm not sure what you mean by spamming. For me it means hammering one or 2 skills repeatedly requiring little skill. Though think you might be including specs with a wide range of situational skill too.

He is right the game is now nothing but 2 things.

    1. Resource management.
    2. Inventory management.

Not very fun and that is what a game should be at all costs.

    This :/

    ---actually,this got me thinking its time to take a break...ttfn /wave :D

edit: perfect timing too "You have 1 days of time remaining on your ESO Plus™ membership" :D

Hmm, it's odd. Almost every "RPG"-ish game I've ever played has had "resource management" as part of it's gameplay in some way.

From tabletop (and digital) D&D where you needed to carefully husband your HP/daily use items/spell slots through a dungeon, to ARPGs where you had to balance how much MP your abilities used vs MP regeneration abilities, to MMOs where you needed to find regen gear/boost regen stats/drink & eat between pulls/etc, or "cooldown whack-a-mole" games where you managed what skills you used & when. (or combinations of the above - cooldowns+MP, cooldowns+limited use per dungeon, etc).

(I remember WoW having issues balancing that - I remember one "big patch" where they nuked MP regen because high-level raid folks had managed to get nigh-infinite resources for healers/casters.... and screwed over new players because the regen formulas worked fine for people with BiS gear but terribly for folks with green quest gear.)

Bye. I've allready pulled out as I hate how they have mangled this system and disagree with how they chose to handle this. They nerfed us all for a few people being overpowered.

Check out Neverwinter. It might be a bit more hungry for your money, but y'know, at least it's honest about allot of it.

Saying that Neverwinter is more hungry for your money is like saying a nuclear bomb is slightly more powerful than a firecracker.
