    When taking Nik with a group of 12 and defenders arrive with a force of 50 plus players, it becomes a slideshow.

    So, no, it is not better, but that assessment depends on the situation. Sometimes it seems better.

    After almost a whole week since the patch, I can confirm that performances are much better. I dunno what you have done but keep going in the right direction. It did make a huge difference on my side.

    • Fix Volendrung (spawn location - weapon white on the map causing the wielder to keep it forever - usable with emperorship)
    • Remove / Change CPs System, remove current CP/noCP campaigns and introduce one 30days with lock, one with no locks
    • Fix crashes when approaching a keep under attack because of bad / wrong rendering prioritization system
    • Change emperorship to value faction score points and not alliance points - see this and this
    • Fix long loading screens (mostly caused by players joining group out of rendering range)
    • Add 2 more quickslots to the wheel or add a different wheel for sieges weaponry only
    • Fix Balista Bolts not dealing damage on walls or doors if deployed at a certain place
    • Release bigger battlegrounds with 8 to 16 players per team and only two teams

    @ZOS_BrianWheeler well after sunday's EU primetime (21:00-23:00 CET) Trueflame, we can say without doubt, there's still *much* work to do to get it to perform better.

    Was also having serious issues with Stampede never working, always got locked in combat animation. Probably something for the combat team, but it's most likely lag related. Also took what seemed ages before the stampede skill went off (1-2 seconds) while other skills seemed to be more responsive.

    Didn't try other gap closers.. but would be surprised if toppling charge would perform better ;P

    Well I uninstalled today. Whenever the fights get big and the latency increases, everyone freezes on screen even though I can still move around, then I eventually get thrown to log in screen. Lets face it, if it hasn't been fixed for 2 years, it ain't getting fixed.

    Sounds like they are done farming PVE for their new gearsets.

    I recently upgraded my computer and I have no more slide show/powerpoint fights anymore. My FPS drop is down to like 30 fps in large fights, the only thing I am encountering is ability delay, so just have to hit keys much slower to be able to function. It's not fun, no but I was used to 5 fps, so hard to tell for me.

    I've noticed a significant overall improvement as well and I really like the addition of the town fighting.

    Played through prime time, barely felt lag even in a keep with 60 people in it. Keep at it zos.

    Trueflame EU was unplayable during prime time this evening.

    Solid 160 ping but skills taking 2/3 seconds to fire off and players sliding back and forth, guess everyone has finished with their pve!

    PVE set farmers are done. The lag, red ping, slideshow, rubber banding, single digit fps. It's all back.

    That week was nice but ya'll need to make it last longer.

    Dunno the precise time, wasn't looking at my clock but it was about 3 -5 hours ago.

    Couldn't get out of the enchanting door, kept rubber banding me back in. Ping over 800 while there, fps dropped. This was EP south gate/crafting area.

    Couldn't see any crazy action on the map so where the crazy spike came from I don't know. My internet was perfectly normal, only one on it and no lag with anything else.

    It went away when I switched characters. The worst lag I've had since Update 11 was in Shadowfen, that was horrid. Was like full on last EMP keep dethrone battle right beside me.

    I too have noticed *much* better performance latency-wise!
    Maybe it's the Forward Camp respawn timer. :trollface:

    I kid, I kid. :wink: Even playing with my "normal" good ping (200-250) and things are much, much smoother.

    Please ZOS , upgrade your servers hardware and things will improve a lot.

    Also will be a good thing if you'll upgrade the internet connection. Change it to a 10 Gbps connection and you'll see lots of improvements. ( look at this : http://he.net/ip_transit.html?p=&amp;t=&amp;m=p&amp;k=10 gigabit internet&amp;gclid=CKez18C5u84CFQsW0wodQZwH-w )

    I hope ESO will get rid of lag and loading screens in a few months.

    There is no doubt in my mind that performance is better this patch. There are still major issues but compared to last patch? Certainly an improvement.

    Right now on PC NA TF the lag is horrid.

    High ping, low fps, slideshow, nothing fires, huge delay in skills. Like the old days of weekend pvp.

    9.6k ping... 7.2k ping... :(

    TF is often pop locked and zergy though. That lag is more due to player behavior imo... I've noticed markedly less lag elsewhere where population densities are more reasonable.

    This lag has been causing me so much stress I jumped in conclusions, accusing my ISP for limiting my internet. However, it turned out it's not my internet issue because my Team Speak works perfectly fine without voice distortion even at the exactly moment I get 999 ping. At first I thought Zos would be discriminating people outside USA. And I got the same issue above 1 week ago and it still persist specially between 9 p.m. till 2 a.m.(GMT-3) after the update. Thank you for your attention.

    Something I've noticed after the horrid lag/slideshows yesterday.

    Ping means absolutely nothing. Even my group commented on it. It could say 300 yet the lag/slideshow/delays mean its actually more like 3k+.

    Trueflame EU had a couple of serious dips yesterday evening (400+ latency).

    Also, something that might be useful for people,.. was standing in Roebeck and saw my FPS drop to lowish 30 depending on where I looked. Looking at the ground it shot up to 60 (g-sync so don't go above monitor's sync on my setup). Looking towards a resource (where there was some fighting going on) it dropped to low 30.
    Fiddled with my graphical settings and lowered the render distance to 35 (was at 100) and that helped quite a bit. Doesn't fix everything though, since in massive lag fights my FPS still plummets to 22-26fps and that's on a beefy machine.

    Running the game at 4K on a Core i7 4790K, 16Gb RAM, game/OS on SSD and a (what-the-hell-was-I-thinking) NVIDIA Titan X.

    As many people already commented on in the past, if you look at the CPU load during game play, 1 core is pegged to 100% while the other cores barely move (10-15% load).

    So it seems a big chunk of the server performance issues were fixed, but not all.. in extreme conditions the server still ends up choking on the work.. but it's much better and now we're running into client side lag, with the client not able to keep up, which will also make your fps plummet. Fairly certain the gfx card can cope with it, it's the CPU that can't keep up, but there isn't anything faster out there for mostly single threaded loads, so without client optimizations, don't see it improving much.

    Trueflame NA also had some bad dips into the red yesterday.

    Main issues that remain even when latency is good:

    -Inconsistent weapon swap
    -Inconsistent firing of skills
    -Inconsistent stun break
    -stuck in combat

    Now I think roughly 90% of the time these things work but 10% fail rate is still bad for the most basic functions of the game and needs improvement.

    The big thing we're looking for is combat responsiveness in battles. Are you pressing action keys and they're not firing for several seconds? Are abilities "storing up" and unleashing all at once because no inputs from you went through? Is chat not taking message inputs for several seconds? All of these bits of information help us nail down server performance. As you're reporting sometimes that latency meter is acting wonky, so any reports about how combat is going as opposed to "my meter went red" is very helpful!

    Reaction time is a big issue in my opinion but I don't know if anything can be done about it. It's not a bug it's just general latency. I push a button & it takes about .5-1.5 seconds before the ability happens. In a lag situation this will be even larger, but the problem for me isn't when it's a lag situation my complaint is when it's not laggy.

    Playstyle vs. Population vs. What constitutes that population, is the crux of what we have been tackling with performance. The main focus is to keep the population steady/full and improve on the play experience without sacrificing or compromising the warzone game-play of Cyrodiil or combat in general. This includes well organized groups vs. non-organized groups and finding how to optimize/prioritize information going to the server and back to your PC/Mac/Xbox/PS4. It's not as easy as turning on this switch or turning off that one (as much as we'd like it to be), as every week we look at the data logs and combat situations by playing in Cyrodiil and Imperial City ourselves. We look at what hits the server the hardest and tackle them with either code or data solutions as fast as we can with proper testing, and appreciate your patience in the rolling out of these fixes.

    Keep us posted about the performance in both the EU and the US, and on all platforms with each update, hot-fix, and incremental we do! It is greatly appreciated!

    First off let me say I do respect you, your work, & your team.
    I still feel I need to make this question/comment as I don't know the situation.

    Personally when "the dev's" you, Rich, etc... have previously come to play with the community, you guys know we all love that.
    But, when it comes to testing, are you grabbing players like "Jay Hartman" one of the Senior QA guys?

    Because my opinion is that while yourself, Rich, & others may be good at making games, you're not as good at playing them as some of the other people. Watching you guys stream you end up making what some people would call "noobish mistakes", which is why I'm suggesting when it comes to running the test numbers, have either streamers, or specific people that work at ZOS which are known to be the best of the best at playing when testing.
    There are a ton of good pvp'ers that play eso & I just feel if you are not testing from their perspective/skill level a lot will be missed.
