ZOS needs to properly address Gap Closer issue and 'cheating' in general

@ZOS_RichLambert - I believe it is time to address issues around recent events of cheating, exploit, and bans more appropriately. We need a more clear approach from ZOS and an improved/consistent enforcement from ZOS support side.

I watched it before this thread and agree. Although, these types of videos should be less long-winded in the future. You got your point across in about the first ten minutes, but still, nothing but love for giving a *** about the entire community instead of ingroups.

ZOS can't punish players for their mistakes, plain and simple.

They went ahead with a fix that they knew would adversely affect the Alliance War because they needed to fix gap closers for PvE. They sacrificed PvP for a quick fix from a problem they created with their "fix" for gap closers. I can't believe why they would even consider a ban for this, because they're the ones who knowingly created this problem that was reported as soon as it was implemented on the PTS.

People have a right to be angry about this, but let's direct the anger in the right direction. Be angry that ZOS willingly compromised PvP to fix a problem they created. Be angry that they knew this would happen but went ahead with the change anyways.

Sure, people shouldn't be using this to take unflagged keeps, but there is no one to blame but ZOS.

I, for one, am really fed up with ZOS pushing code it well knows is broken, buggy mess to live servers, repeatedly, in cold blood, and I shall take action to make a point, to show, to them, that I am not okay with it. For example, I will think twice before buying a DLC or a mount from the crown store. Then I will buy that DLC anyway, but not a mount. Unless it is really epic.

I agree, I left ESO after the game launched on PC after participating in beta and subscribing. People have been using gap closers since beta and launch to get into keeps. There was also a problem with defenders being able to use oil if I remember correctly. That aside, why is this not fixed? Why are you banning people now? when this has been known for two years and beyond?

It only looks like you are appeasing the witch hunters. You know who they are, the ones who bad mouth you on these very forums and turn around and kiss butt when ZOS says anything, and the next day start a complaint thread. If you don't communicate the rules to every single player how do you expect them to follow those rules?

Siegeing a keep we should have ladders, grappling hooks, towers to assault the keep walls and fight the defenders. We don't have those, so gap closers. After all there is magic in this world. Remember your opening cinematic we should be able to preform all of that. To the witch hunters, what goes round comes around, if you have a beef with someone who is a better fighter don't be a baby and report them. Get better.

It's a disgusting situation and I can't wait for CU to be out although I am a founder and invested in that game. I know the developer knows how to create large scale pvp. While I do love the quests here and the solo content, the pvp needs your attention, there are many like me who want to jump into Cryo, but do not because of this mess. Thanks fengrush for the video.
