I am hearing people talking about duping, I am assuming it's a couple *** just scamming people and there is no real duping right? If there is I will be pissed if they are not banned and the duped items are not removed from the economy.

I'm guessing I'm not alone in having no idea what you're talking about.

The more i hear about all the console bugs, the more i'm convinced that ZOS has been working off a codebase that was forked right around PC launch and none of the PC code fixes were ever rolled back into the console code.

There was an actual duping bug on PC after launch ...

No clue what the OP is talking about.
But even if ppl are doing this....it'll eventually get caught because it's all done online.

To me it seems more likely that ppl are trying to scam others or ppl are trying to sound "cool" or elite in some way.

Don't give it any weight as of now

That's right, the inventory duplication glitches. I completely forgot about that bull****.

They will ban you if you do that. They have a policy on "Naming and Shaming" in threads. Also if you post anything that shows exploits or how they are done, they will delete your thread. The best thing to do is to submit a report in game, then submit screenshots or videos privately to the devs on here.

You will not get banned for reporting console activity that is against TESO rules according to the code of conduct. Please scroll to the bottom of the page and read it

Edit: and to be clear to report duping isn't name shaming, etc and the way the console UI works the OP would have to screenshot or screen capture their own inventory to do so.

Nothing on the screen is going to cause an issue with any other player. It's just the OP sharing what they discovered and the results of negative activities.

Here is a snip of what I am talking about:

Naming-and-Shaming: We do not allow posts or threads that are created for the purpose of “naming-and-shaming” other community member(s). “Naming-and-shaming” is the act of creating a post to call out an individual or group by name, and making them the subject of public accusation, ridicule and/or shaming. Generally, naming-and-shaming involves an in-game situation and/or Terms of Service violation, which the ESO Community Team is unable to assist with. A certain amount of rivalry and competitive razzing is healthy for any game community, especially one with PVP elements, but naming-and-shaming goes well beyond that. It typically elevates to a point where the subject feels legitimately harassed. We believe that naming-and-shaming posts and threads can be abused and are very harmful to the community. We also don't feel that publicly calling out or accusing others by name on our forums is in spirit of the game or our community. If you genuinely believe someone has violated our Terms of Service, you should report them in-game via the support interface — do not bring the situation onto the official ESO community forums.

So if you post screenshots or videos of someone exploiting, which has been done in the past, you are naming and shaming IF their name is visible in the screenshot or video.

That's the bug which led to removal of guild bank stacking. Console versions don't have stacking, so I doubt it's the same bug. If a bug even exists... For all we know, the OP heard baseless rumors. He doesn't seem to have personally encountered this bug.

    Hey there everyone,

We just wanted to hop in and clarify the rules on reporting exploits. Exploits should not be posted on the official forums under any circumstance, and will be removed.

Instead, we ask that exploits are reported to our customer support team with as much information as possible. You can name people in a ticket, so don't worry about the name and shame rules.

Each exploit report is investigated thoroughly and actioned appropriately. That said, we will never share the outcome of a Terms of Service investigation with another user. You are likely to receive a response that boils down to "thanks for your report," but rest assured that we'll look into it.

    Thanks for your understanding!

Given the sheer volume of current exploits in game, and how long some of them have been around, a casual observer would assume the customer support team simply doesn't pass them on to the appropriate party, or the appropriate party in charge of fixing them is understaffed/can't fix them/thinks they aren't a priority. I could tick off a laundry list of exploits that are repeatedly posted on the forums until some scrub name drops or something and a mod has an opening to close the thread and go "phew! ... glad that's no longer on the first page of the forums."

Maybe you guys would have an easier job of moderating exploit threads if customer support/devs actually prioritized fixing them. Food for thought.

Sure, the code of conduct serves a purpose. But a quick browse on general and alliance war forums first page pretty clearly shows they've dropped the ball in addressing exploits. This particular thread might not have been a diamond, but it's bewildering to witness how long ZOS has allowed some of these exploits to remain in place for.

Someone posted a thread a few hours ago about a cheat engine that allows for reduction in ability/fighting times and speed - before it was deleted. I'm just at a point where I'd like to see them actually take action on fixing the exploits and/or putting in some consequences for the most egregious abusers - rather than a forum mod warrior purging the forums every day.
