It typically elevates to a point where the subject feels legitimately harassed. We believe that naming-and-shaming posts and threads can be abused and are very harmful to the community. We also don't feel that publicly calling out or accusing others by name on our forums is in spirit of the game or our community. If you genuinely believe someone has violated our Terms of Service, you should report them in-game via the support interface — do not bring the situation onto the official ESO community forums.

So if you post screenshots or videos of someone exploiting, which has been done in the past, you are naming and shaming IF their name is visible in the screenshot or video.

Yes its much clearer after you edited it. If you look at my post it actually shows your post BEFORE you edited it. Thanks though, much clearer now.

Also, I don't consider it a waste of time to educate fellow forum members on the rules to help them so they don't get in to trouble or get their forum accounts banned.

We just wanted to hop in and clarify the rules on reporting exploits. Exploits should not be posted on the official forums under any circumstance, and will be removed.

Instead, we ask that exploits are reported to our customer support team with as much information as possible. You can name people in a ticket, so don't worry about the name and shame rules.

Each exploit report is investigated thoroughly and actioned appropriately. That said, we will never share the outcome of a Terms of Service investigation with another user. You are likely to receive a response that boils down to "thanks for your report," but rest assured that we'll look into it.

Hey (screenshot) I came across this while playing. Is it normal or cheating , where the screenshot is only showing the character of the OP should be fine.

This post is simply a curious post.
Taking the other approach brings about a slew of forums issues
