We want it to be in good shape before we hand it over to all of you on the PTS. We'll let you know when we have a better idea of when that will be, but in the name of being as transparent as we can, there is a possibility it will not be next week.
Maybe release a list of thisngs you'd like feed back on like ya have previous times.

Absolutely, we do plan to do that. We're putting together a schedule of testing events to help us get some very focused testing and feedback on specific things. We'll also have a list of suggested testing goals we'll share when we post the patch notes.

There are other changes in 1.6 that seem unnecessary - VR10 foods, stacking food and drink, combat mechanics (AoE effects), bug fixes, etc.
There's rumours that the patch notes are already over 60 pages!
Even to test 1.6 on the PTS we'll have to read a users guide - and just imagine how confused the people who don't read the forums are going to be when they wake up to 1.6.

It could also be that they are not working on separate codebases for each sprint to avoid merge issues and to simplify test, to see that everything works well together. It takes more time to use the same code base but work on development in separate codebases and then have to merge and then test it over again to see that no code changes in different codebases conflicts and creates issues.
All thou, usually hotfixes are done in a codebase based on production and then merged to the development codebases, that's how most companies I know do it. Thou I am a dev. I do not work with games at all so I could hypothetically miss something...

That's great! Can't tell you how excited the community is for this update. I hope our antsy behavior is seen as a positive note.ZOS_JessicaFolsom wrote: »As of now, we're still targeting January; we'll let everyone know as soon as we have a date. Hence why there are project managers and producers within companies.
They don't really do much actual 'work' themselves anymore, they just make sure that team a and team b understand that team c is doing something that will completely turn their day around.
There are probably 10-12 teams working on each
Itemization
PvP
Champion
Justice
Artwork
Gameplay
Dungeon
Trial
Music
Animation
UI/UX
off the top of my head.
All of these guys and gals are writing code in blocks that has to be then assigned into the whole build.
Thats a lot of ways things can go wrong lol.
Will there be patch notes for today's incremental patch?
