Hey guys,

I'm running a fx-6300 on a 970a Msi

Main board. 8gb ram, and a gtx 770.

I have fps drops in weird places, it just

Doesn't seem stable. Is there anything

I can do to fix this? Is it CPU related?

Do I need upgrades? I feel like I

Should be stable on this set up.

Especially on medium.

    Greetings @okaybros!

We will try to respond in a similarly poetic fashion.

For issues with FPS, we advise that you

First ensure that your particle sliders are turned down

These are located in the video settings, and are

Titled "Maximum Particle Systems" and "Particle

Suppression Distance." Dial them down a bit, and let us

    Know if your performance improves.

    Also,

Please ensure that you run the game in dedicated

Fullscreen mode as opposed to Fullscreen (Windowed) or

    Windowed

This will ensure that your hardware is utilized to the fullest.

If you continue to experience similar issues

    Please

Feel free to update us and we will be

    Happy to continue assisting you

(Also, if the formatting was due to posting from a phone or something, we certainly don't mean to make fun! :P)

Yeah, I'm on my iphone at work. Shh

Don't tell. So either full screen or

Regular windowed? I'll try this when I

Get home. Thanks for the quick reply.

    Hey there!

Simply using fullscreen is the best way to

Optimize performance on your PC. We promise

Not to tell your employer. As a Maryland resident

You can also use the age-old solution, and

Simply cover it in Old Bay.* It may not help your

FPS. But it will be delicious.

Let us know if the real suggestion works, and if not,

It will be our pleasure to continue assisting you!

(*ZOS does not condone the use of Old Bay on any PC hardware)

Your cpu should be fine. I use the fx 8350 which is pretty much just more of the same you have and I rarely see the thread the game in on max out or even get near max.

What GPU do you have and what resolution do you play at this will have a much greater affect on the FPS then the cpu.

Hey guys, thanks for all the help! Now that I'm on my pc, I can stop being a poet.

Or should I not? This remains unclear. What is clear is that, after turning down the resolution from 1920x1080, to 1650x1050, making the game fullscreen, and turning down texture resolution to medium, I have received some better fps results.

I wish I could run the game on ultra, but it still looks great on medium.

Also, the old bay did not turn out well. Tongues touched open wires, people got shocked, it got ugly. Just washed the situation down with some 'Bohs and it was all good.

    Thanks for the help, Hon.
