Is this a joke? Cannot kill a Boss in standard quest!

This was the same thing I encountered, I had to ask a random guy to help me out in zone chat. That was the only way to take her down, and even with his help we had a tough time.

Toughest boss encountered (so far) was Limbscather at veteran level 6. Took out both familiars, ultimate was ignored & then one hit death for me.

At first, I had a hard time killing her. Then I read about how to interrupt, then I was able to kill he easily. Later on, someone asked me to help kill her. We did it in less than a minute.

Just because she doesn't get set off balance by the bash does not mean she is not interruptable. You can still interrupt her healing. It just does not give you a knockdown window. Maybe you guys should realize she stops to heal every third attack or so, and time a bash for right as she starts her heal.

Makes me laugh heartily whenever I see stuff like this.

Killed her as a 2h Templar in light armor.

I was puzzled when I first read this.. I usually play a sorc. and have not faced this problem.

Rather than comment at that time, I took out my crafting alt. dusted him off and headed out to a healing boss in a solo dungeon ... He is wears a random set of greens, the kind of stuff you pick up as you go.

I read the comments here so thought I was well prepared for victory.

The original poster is absolutely correct!! As are the other posters who asserted that spell interrupts are un-reliable. I spent a hour on one boss, used all of the techniques talked about here and eventually ran away.

Bottom line: I would have a lucky streak and interrupt her heals getting her down to 30% or so, only to have one mysterious "miss" and she was back at full health. (I say mysterious, because I should have hit I thought the tells were there, but her health bar told a different story)

There is a genuine problem here and I really hope you folks get relief.

you just have to block/interrupt (a skill every player starts with) the boss when it starts to heal. I solo'd it on the first shot; it was a long-ass fight.

You're a sorcerer? Spam Crystal Shards and Endless Fury, using Rune Cage on her when mana gets low......Dark Exchange your health and mana back up while she is caged...rinse repeat. If you stay in melee range you can bash her to interrupt if the timing on crystal shards is off.

I want to feel sympathy for the people complaining about how hard the boss is... but this is a prime L2P moment.

I just finally beat her on regular. I followed the "get up in her face" advice and it seemed to work. Might have to bash her (I have a destro staff) a few times to interrupt because of timing, but you can interrupt her. Get her off that platform if you can - it makes it easier. Good luck!

Oh I remember this one, it was annoying even when not in veteran rank. Had another person doing the same quest along with me, it took the next person who entered during our fight to finish.

Honestly I actually thought this guy would become a problem if I was to take him at Veteran Rank and was glad I wouldn't have to face him again.

As VR6 templar, I took on this quest only with the help of a VR12 Dragonknight and a VR3 Sorcerer. It took all three of us, the summons and several ultimates to take down this boss.

The main problem with the old vet difficulty was and some bosses is the insane self-heal. NPCs in ESO can just heal themselves up from 25% health to full health in 1-2 seconds (wished I had heals like that). Like others have already said on this thread you really need to interrupt the heals or it will be impossible to kill this boss on your own. You can also just easily nuke him down with another player.

I too had to get a friend to help, but we did it. What I learned from this, is not to waste a whole lot of time on difficult bosses. Just go get my buddy, however, I still of course have to deal with the solo bosses on my own.

I think the game is imbalanced, not generally too difficult. Many bosses are now complete pushovers, some are reasonably tough, and some are still quite difficult and require help if you are playing a class with bad damage output. Pairs with one heavy hitter and a healer are particularly problematic. I have had problems in VR zones with a few quest bosses which are supposed to be solo fights, but I can take on most overworld bosses and public dungeon bosses alone, both of which are supposed to be group content. Something does not seem right, and I wonder if this large variation in difficulty is intentional.

This boss is susceptible to the bash mechanic, which will interrupt her heal. To bash, hold the block button (RMB) and click the attack button (LMB) while she's channeling. This should help make solo encounters a bit more manageable.

From my experience this morning at V4...no, no she's not. Or, rather, she's *sometimes* susceptible to bash, with approximately 40% bash success rate.

Can't say I had any problems with any of the quests on my NB dps, Temp healer or DK dps, solo or not. Maybe add some self preservation to your skill bar?

lol i dont know if its broken but i completed cadwells gold twice and everything was just child play especially with my one shot everything sorc with bubble{leveled recently) i dont even use pets for solo and i solo public dungeons dolmens skulls and everything easly. and i do 10k-13k dps u say she has 13k hp. just throw meteor bubble up and stay meele for interrupts then nuke it like a hell it will die in 2-3 secs lol

I never did this quest, but I remember helping several friends, because it was simply too difficult for them.

There's nothing wrong with challenging bosses, but that encounter is vastly harder than anything else in the solo quest lines. Why is that? Does not make any sense.
