Is this a joke? Cannot kill a Boss in standard quest!

Quest: Arithiel
Tasks: Slay Cassia Varo and Igozai

Another stroke of genius. Solo quest have to slay two bosses.
Igozai is fine ... dead.
Cassia Vsro has 13,000 HP, with unlimited magic and just self heals back to 100% when down to about 9.000 HP.

Unable to knockback, unable to immobilise and even Ultimate Skills have little or no effect. Absorbtion Field does not silence.

As a Sorcerer my single targe DPS does not even get close to taking her out.
Even if I did, she just ignores everything I throw at her and heals straight to 100%.

Why do you even bother to make Solo quests like this?

Veteran rank NPC's (especially vr7-10) still seem broken to me. The stats with some NPC's seem insane, while others seem back to normal. I cannot kill this certain boss in a solo dungeon now, one that I killed relatively easily last week. Just can't get him down, he has insane HP.

I had the same problem with that quest. The flame atronarch companion you get for that quest is supposed to do most of the damage in this fight. But it did not survive the bone colossus just before the boss.
I had to run around for a few minutes inside the instance to make the atronarch reappear, then Cassia Varo was much easier to kill.

I just spent 15 minutes (one life) trying to kill this one little Boss.
It is just impossible for me. Had Summoned about 7 Great Strom Atronach IV, I had my own Summon Pet and have a companion Flame Atronach quest follower.

I get it to maybe 9,000 HP and no matter what just heals to 100%.
Just stands there and heals. All of us are hitting it at the same time, Ultimates, pets, companion and myself and nothing, just ignores everything and heals to 100%.

Most spells just say "character is to powerful for this effect". So no knockdowns, stuns or or silences.

Totally broken.
Or I totally need to got to L2P school .. again.

i have given up on my vr7 templar till they sort this *** out woke up read forums they said it fixed logged in dead 5 times in a row to a 3x pack of mobs instantly they either spamming their skills on me or are just hitting to hard i never had this issue when i went work got home downloaded patch and now i cannot do anything.
its the worst patching i have ever seen in any mmo tbh.

I had the same problem killing her as a non veteran player. Nothing I did had any effect as she just kept healing. I had to leave and group with another player outside the door in order to take her down.

My companion died as well.
I do respawn it by going to the exit door and run back, it spawns after a couple of minutes.
Still does not make seem to make a difference for me.

Maybe I'll abandon it then and find a partner, which I should not have to do for a generic PvE quest.

Yes i agree that these healer bosses have insanely large mana pool. She is just imbossible kill without decent stamina pool to distrubt/block her every time when she start healing her self.

I did try Sword and Shield but could not interrupt.
Even smacked her in the face with my staff while she was healing, she just laughed at me.

VR7 can't kill Vox in Deshaan's last quest and I'm stuck there..... Fxxxx ZoS. Crappy game, crappy devs, crappy everything.

Just going in together couldn't see each other. We had to group up and then I had to travel to her instance because I still couldn't see her. After traveling to her we were able to see each other and do the fight together.

This was the easiest boss I ever did in veteran content.
She does very little dmg, so the only problem is healing, which is easily dealt with.
In case you were not aware, you can interrupt spell casting in ESO. The easiest way is to basically go near boss , hold right click(BLOCK) and press right click. That will hit the NPC or even a player in such a way that it interrupts ANY SPELL-CASTING.

All I did was go near boss, dps as normal ( I am a sorc) and the moment I saw she wanted to heal, I just slapped her sensless as mentioned above. She healed for a total of 1-2k~ the whole fight, because I was day dreaming sometimes and was slow to react to her healing.

Ah, dear old Cassia. It's one of the few bosses I remember from my pre veteran levels. Went in her dungeon, wondered what all those people doing standing out of the door to her room, did the prerequisites out of her room, went in, got my behinds served at me several times, went out and stood out of her door till I managed to get a group to go back in and finish her.

So, I guess at v9 levels she must be still an actual delight to fight her. If you go into her room alone, you stay alone but if you are grouped the whole group goes in. The only problem is with phasing so you must make sure everybody is in the same phase. At normal levels it was easy. Everyone just standing out of her door, was just failed to kill her and was looking for a group, in the same phase as you. I guess it is more lonely now in the veteran levels.

It's press and hold right click to block, then press left click to interrupt. You also need to be really in her face to do so. Best done from first person view, not the third person view.

I now finally managed to do this one. Yay, no more Cassia Varo.

Most of the healing bosses in this game are a little broken, this one is beyond the pale. Played it through on my Sorc in normal levels, had to kill Igozai then get far enough away that Cassia reset. Then had to use both pets and iirc, 2 Greater Storm Atronach ults along with being in her face to constantly interrupt her heals.


Needless to say I ignored this quest on my V4 Nightblade, I'm not sure I plan on ever bothering to go back for it.

Just give up on the quest. It doesn't work if you're a caster. I tried to beat it for over an hour, and when you do the left/right mouse button thing to stop his heal, it doesn't work and you have to hit him with it 5 or 6 times before it'll take. By then he's already healed himself.

It's just a broken boss right now, move on and maybe come back at VR10 or something. That's what I'm doing.

Just did this quest, as many have stated I also have tried for over an hour to kill this boss and it makes no difference. I sent in a ticket about it and will come back to it later I guess.

I finally managed to finish this quest but didnt actually kill Cassia Varo what happened was I fought his ogrim pet, then fought cassia for a bit, couldn't interrupt, nearly dying so ran towards the exit to recover a bit. I then ran back and she respawned the ogrim so i ran towards the start down the corridor to kill him again and once he was dead the quest directed me to leave the place and it was over.

Best thing you can do with this information is to put it on test server if you can and try to get a community manager or worker to analyze the combat log and hope for a consideration.

At least a feedback if nothing else. Just keep in mind to leave out your emotions. That will just get it squashed. Something I have to remind myself of constantly it seems!

Remember in the tutorial when it told you how to interrupt casts, and the second mob you faced was a skeletal archer that you could interrupt? Yeah. Try that.

Yes, this is supposed to be an interrupt test.
However, it doesn't work, at least it didn't for me. I live in Hawaii, so I suspect it is related to latency. If you have low latency, you interrupt her and burn her down. If you have high latency, as someone above states, the interrupt only works once in a while,and she heals in between.

In general, many things that people complain about that others don't have a problem with is based on latency: the level designers don't understand it I think.

You know what my worst nightmare in the game is? "E". That "E" is my most dreaded thing. Will press "E" transport me thorugh the door? Did it work? Should I press it again? How long should I wait before I press "E" again? Ooops, not long enough, I went through the door and then popped back again.
I hate "E". It is not robust to latency

With healers like this I found that even range need to be at mele distance to use the standard interrupt. Spells/attacks that also interrupt are not fast enough and they are healed up before the attack goes off. I would have done the quest as a VR 4 if you are doing it as VR9.

you can do this quest with multiple people, also people who have already done it can even help you. I know that it shouldnt be this way but if theres no other way just invite a friend

If its lag, then you either need a faster internet connection (if the current one is crappy), or your problem is because the server is halfway across the world (and/or crappy infrastructure in-between).

Only one person in this thread seems to be mentioning that you can interrupt healing types healing themselves. Why aren't people doing this?

In case you were not aware, that is not how one interrupts in ESO.

Perhaps if you spent less time daydreaming and posting thinly veiled learn-to-play messages on the forums, you'd know that.

Why must you post in such a smug manner? Is it so difficult to remain polite while giving advice? Did you even read the posts where players stated they could not interrupt?

Anyway... This boss was indeed a bit challenging. I could interrupt its heals with bash, but in doing so, the boss was knocked back off the fighting stage which put it in an awkward hard-to-reach location.

Im a VR12 Templar... i don't understand ppl posting something... i did it you can do it too it needs maybe 1-3 trys (maybe more) but you can finish it cancel enemy magic with block+attack (most magic can be canceled even if you are a sorc you can do that)
