Hello, can anyone axplain me the following numbers?
lvl 3 templar - 2H weapon - Heavy attack --> normal 25 dmg - crouch 48 dmg
lvl 3 nightblade - 2H weapon - Heavy attack --> normal 25 dmg - crouch 48 dmg
VR6 nightblade - 2H weapon - Heavy attack --> normal 289 dmg - crouch 1440 dmg

V19312✭✭I'm sorry to be the one to tell you this, but you can NOT crit a sneak attack. This has been extensively tested, it is not possible. Sneak attack damage is static so there is no special thing going on for his sneak attack number being so high, that's what it is every time!1 -

You've somehow leveled a stealth-attack Nightblade without getting passives to increase your damage from stealth?
Also, at level 3, your weapons aren't enchanted. I assume that at VR6, your weapon is enchanted, and I believe that enchantment damage also scales up with stealth.----

Daendur✭✭✭While sneaking and behind your target (not detected) you always land a critical strike (so critical % increase are useless here). I don't think assassination's passives are enough to explain such a great damage difference.
Moreover with the same toon, using some skills (heave attack - concealed weapons - wrecking blow) i have a great damage bonus but with some other skills (snipe - flying blade) i don't have the same bonus and the critical deals almost 2x normal damage.
It is absurd that we don't have any formula about damage - critical - sneaking etc...1 -
V19312✭✭no it happens with everyone and every weapon/skill that can be used for sneak attacking.
If I recall correctly, sneak attack damage is about 400% damage, not exact as I can not remember the exact numbers now that the servers are down
As far as the level 3 sneak attack not being equivalent in damage increase, you got me there, I can't comment on it as I have not tested it myself and I'm not sure why it would be different.Edited by V19312 on June 16, 2014 12:53PM0 -
Swordguy✭✭✭I used 2h for a while while levelling up my DK, and sneak power hits were always like OPs before vr and after. I have passives to increase damage from stealth, but it should be like a 10%, and it should be with every skill... why "uppercut" works and "snipe" doesn't ?0 -
LariahHunding✭✭✭✭I am not getting damage from a skill. A heavy attack with my current setup from crouch gives me 1478 dmg, and it don't have to be from behind, as long as I am not detected, I can do a heavy attack for 1478 dmg.
I haven't been successful doing the same with any weapon skills.
EDIT: This is how I am being fairly successful with a NB in VR content. This first is dead (the splash stuns the other 1-2 in the group), before the others turn loose. Take out the healer/caster/archer first, and block and stunned the other. Knock them down and stomped on them. To the point, 2 is easy, and 3 mobs often without have to pop and Ult.
