Molog Bal

I have reached veteran level and still have to kill Molog Bal - there is no way I will ever be able to do this. I am so frustrated and guess I will need to quit the game. I can't advance, can't kill him, and seem stuck. Just so frustrated. I have enjoyed the game, but what is the point if I am stuck.

Why can't you kill him? Bugs, or he's just killing you? What class do you play? He can be a pita, but there are surefire ways to beat him with any class.

I lost count of the times he killed me. Really, it was way over a dozen times. I had to respec twice, which cost me a fortune.
Could you post your class? Maybe someone here can help you.
Don't give up on this. You will beat him.

Yeah bit more detail on why you can't advance would help. The one thing that people miss is blocking the Titans range attacks as they then bounce back and kill themselves after two attacks on you.

But without more detail on your challenge .. not much else to say

I was so worked up about this guy, I was almost disappointed on how easy it was for the last battle. That was at level 48 as a Plated Templar

I am a Templar Redguard, veteran level 1; I have duel wield level 50; Heavy Armor level 50; Fighter Guild level 8; Redguard Skills level 50. I use rune focus to protect; blood crave and rapid strike to damage; repentance for health and javelin for range. Don't know what else to do. I don't seem to have a good block available. And everything comes at me so fast, I can't react and return blows before I am dead. It isn't a bug - it is me

I feel that my weapons are not strong enough - single hand at 103 and 105 - don't know how to get anything stronger.

The MB fight is long. Don't focus on DPS, focus on survival. Stay out of red, heals are a must, and get in some hits when you can.

And when the dragons come, just block and let them kill themselves with the dmg reflect.

ding ding ding ^^^ Exactly what patrykstencel says. Took me about 18 minutes just chip chipping away. You also don't bring him down to zero

Eventually after 5 minutes you kind have get a rhythm of block block .. chip chip BIG CHIP block chip going

The first time I used a resto staff was this fight. Brand new out of the box, Block the spawns now they are dead. run round in a big circle using heavy attack. took a while but got him. After 2 weeks of deaths I thought how easy was that. Now VR that's another matter.

I never see any titans....... its just him...... and hes kicking my butt also...

I've done him on 2 characters and he's pretty much easier than any of the previous bosses..

Phase 1: grabs you into his hand
- just push X when told to to bake his hand a little, he'll drop you

Phase 2: he will try to follow you to attack in melee (heavy) and sometimes jumps on you
- block his heavy attacks
- when he jumps, sprint away from the AoE drawn on the ground
- self heal when needed

Phase 3: he will spawn an army of Titans
- do not panic, they do almost zero damage to you now. Just AoE them down

Phase 4: Molag Bal becomes stationary (at least mostly) and calls meteor showers on your head
- you may try to run, but some will always hit you.. so, instead:
- block - you'll notice a shining light while blocking - when projectile approaches, BASH. It will bounce back to Molag Bal, practically killing him if he's at 25% and less. If he's not dead yet, repeat.

Phase 5: enjoy animation of you slicing him in two

- the whole fight is pathetically easy, I've used just 1 magicka potion and 2x healed myself.. on my second char (when I already knew what to do)

This is a frustrating fight, it's actually quite easy I think once you figure out his rotation and know when you can get it a little DPS and when you need to run away/heal .. it's largely a battle of attrition .. but it can take some deaths to figure it out I found.

Worst moment I think is when the Titans spawn, if you get caught unawares you can take several blue fireballs before you get around to blocking them.
