Hunding's Rage set BROKEN

So I did a little experiment today. I crafted my own Hunding's Rage heavy armor set, 5 pieces all white quality with no stamina enchantments as to not ruin the results. My stamina will remain the same throughout the test.

With set on
Weapon Damage: 118
Weapon crit: 5%

With set off
Weapon Damage: 118
Weapon crit: 5%

I will be using a one handed sword(white quality voidsteel sword with no trait or enhancement), a white quality nightwood shield, and the ability Ransack, and light attacks and heavy attacks.

Ransack tooltip with set off

Lets do some testing. I will be using CLS to record my results. With the set bonus I am supposed to get 18% more weapon damage.

With set OFF

211ql46.jpg

With set ON

2zywm14.jpg

+4 damage on my light attacks when it should be hitting about 118

Ransack with set off average = 249
Ransack with set on average =272.5

+23.5 (average) on my Ransack when I should be hitting an extra +44 after putting on my equipment (249 x 1.18 = 293)

+9 damage on heavy attack after putting on my equipment when it should be around +47 damage.

BROKEN. One of the few crafted stamina set bonuses in this game is BROKEN.

Hunding’s Rage: Fixed an issue where this set was not increasing weapon damage by the intended amount.

Its just the tooltip description that does never make sense.

Its most probably 20% of your base weapon damage, if it was a straight 20% damage increase it would have to be nerfed.

Oh nevermind i just noticed who is the OP :|

I didnt say it would increase your base weapon damage, the tooltip doesnt either ;)

Its worded terribly, but you should read it better too.

Increases your (base) weapon damage when using weapon abilities.

That does not equal to a 21% damage increase, of course, and unfortunately its not something you can check on the tooltip.

Stop calling people trolls, it just makes you look like one.

Wow, this guy again. Have you discovered fragments cannot proc off of itself yet Valn?

That aside, there are theories that it may not be affected if you're already at soft cap for weapon damage (though I doubt you would know how to get there). So it is likely broken ...

Regardless, it's been loooong known that Hunding's set does not give you 20% damage. Please google it for any of the other half a dozen threads on the topic.

It's 18%, like I said in the original post, you should read it better.

Well as you can see with the testing my base weapon damage hasn't been increased by 18%, in fact nothing has been increased by 18% which is why it's broken.

Ah, bringing back old arguments that you refuse to accept you lost. Classic.

That aside, the "soft cap for weapon damage" in this case is completely irrelevant, as 118 weapon damage is not a "soft cap". It's been long known that this set is broken but ZOS still choose to ignore it, and like I said stamina builds aren't getting that much attention and so right now they should fix this.

Why would I google it when I can use the forum search function? Did you know you can use the forums own search bar?

I see the problem here. It is a math problem. Stamina and Set are used in the same sentence. Stamina does not equate to something DPS related, hence the reason why they said they fixed the problem, but yet did not because Stamina related DPS isn't as important as the magical DPS. Why would they make a skill to help out the Redguard and other stamina using races? Don't you know the creators of this realm may be a bit racist?

Because there are more game forums than this one, and google has excellent algorithm's for indexing data.

However, if you knew that ... you would not have been making another thread on an old topic to waste all of our time.

You perhaps would know other things about the game too, things that make you look foolish when you are ignorant of them.

He feels Hunding's set would be good only for stamina when if it was a flat 20% yield to weapon damage, all you would see from me would be "Crushing Shock" over and over again.

I dont know why so many people trolling IMPORTANT posts like these.

the set is broken and I can confirm. like many other passives and sets in this game.

as a good rule to play this game, never trust anything is working unless you try it yourself.

I actually agree with that guy, but only for some cases. I was under the impression hundings rage worked until I tested it myself.

No one is trolling the problem. We're informing the OP he failed to research and discover there are already several threads dedicated to this very topic.

Opening up new ones just scatters the feedback/knowledge on this problem, and dismisses all the work/explanations given by other more experienced players.

If he cares so much, he should bump one of those other threads with REAL information up.

Yes and i was under the impression it did not work until i tested it myself.

It does work, dont expect a straight % damage increase, because that is not what it does.

It does not work like Flawless Dawnbreaker.
It does not show on the tooltip.

It will buff your base weapon damage (Power) by 21% but only while using weapon abilities.
This is not something you can see on your stats and it will not net you a 21% damage increase as you were expecting.

So creating a new one will MAKE them answer you? Adding to an existing thread will show it is a hot topic, especially if it grows in page length. Creating your own is self serving.

Hunding's rage did give you a slight increase in dps. Why? Well read the other threads to find out.

Why would you attack someone who is just pointing out there is another thread with actual information in it? Reading this thread up to the point where I made the post and link shows that this thread is clearly nothing more than 2 people arguing and insulting anyone who makes a post in this worthless thread.

I am staying on topic, there is nothing but flaming and trolling going on in this one.
