Vines and Villains - cant start/finish quest

Quest is not doable - when talking to the quest gives (red hook messenger) i cant click on the last discussion selection to move on in the quest - i have relogged and restarted the quest 5 times now - i even wasted a skill point to get the intimidation option - i cant finish the damn dialogue??? why are these quests getting so damn buggy - what was the damn beta that lastet over a year for if not even the quests in the early zones work???

I am not able to progress this quest either. I go to rescue the family, but it does not progress. I did this fine in the beta, and even on another character since live. The bug seems to be more recent.

Can't progress either as it keeps saying that I already have the disguise , even though i do not have it due to engaging in combate with an npc and losing it. Stuck at trying to kill Enjoy Caoiss because I cannot loot another disguise from the backpack where he spawns. This is such bs, and getting really tired if this crap. fix these quests, and remove this bs of already having the disguise even if you don't have them. It really F's up a lot of quests. Oh yeah and fix the damn spawn timer on bosses for quests so you don't have to wait for a freaking hour.

If you're having issues with this, it is because the quest giver is trying to give you a Red Rook uniform but you are probably wearing one already. Disguises are unique items, so you can only have one instance in your inventory.

Solution: unequip the uniform and destroy it, so the quest giver can give it to you again.

This needs to be fixed. I spent 2 days trying to figure out a workaround for this bug.

If you even have the disguise in your inventory quest will not progress.

I reported this in game as I only found the solution by doing a web search that led me to this thread and the post by @KnightDraco. It really does need to be sorted / fixed.
