Suggestion for House Cuts - Guild Upgrades

For anyone who doesn't know, when you sell an item in a Guild Store you pay a 1% Listing Fee, and when the item sells, 7% of the sale price is kept by the guild store; this is the House Cut.

House cuts as it stands are a small yet noticeable money sink that no-one really benefits from. I was thinking each guild could have it's own "House Cut Bank" so to speak. What this is, is a place where all money gained from House Cuts will go and you can spend the money on upgrades for your Guild.

Money in the House Cut Bank can NOT be withdrawn by anyone not even the guild leader - this way it remains a money sink, but we gain something from it.

Ideas for Guild Upgrades

- Additional Guild Member Slots
- Additional Guild Bank Slots
- A One Time Purchase of 10 Bank Spaces for all members of the guild - Stacks a maximum of 5 times (once per guild). This could either be added to your Normal Bank Spaces or when visiting a Banker you get an option to view your own Personal Guild Bank.
- Allow Members to list more items for sale
- Guild Emotes - once unlocked all members can do certain emotes for example /money *pulls out a big bag of money and starts counting it*
- Guild Buffs - Once unlocked members can activate the buff, only 1 Guild Buff can be active at a time and can only be changed at safe areas such as towns/banks. Guild Buffs could be anything like x% more armor or x Shock Resist, obviously these buffs can not be too strong, just little things to help out in certain situations.

Guild Insignias and Tabards were announced

- Additional cosmetic options for customization
- An option for guild members to wear their Insignia on their armor
- Mabye even an option to unlock or buy Guild Disguises that have the insignia on
- Guild Banners - once unlocked members can purchase guild banners from somewhere (ideally the guild store if there was an NPC guild store type thing), once bought it can be put on your quick-slot bar and when used you bring out a big guild banner that gives a small buff to nearby allies. Guild banners should be fully customizable along with Guild Insignias and Tabards.

Let me know what you think and if you have any more ideas for guild upgrades please share.

If you can find the ALOG that Paul Sage did with some website (I tried looking it up to no avail) he mentions that there are MANY things coming down the pipe for Guilds. He wouldn't be specific but from the way he talks about it, ZoS has some serious expansion coming for Guilds, but it will likely be a while, as in many months down the road.

This is all i could find
In the more immediate future, there are major plans to improve the guild store. Paul says that the Zenimax team are “pleased overall” with ESO’s auction-house-free economy, and that focusing on guild stores and player-to-player trading has helped to make the game more community-oriented. “We like the idea that people can buy from one place at one price and sell at another price at a different place,” he says. “Sure, you can do that with a global auction house, but it’s more fun when encapsulated in a guild store.” As well as improvements, future patches will introduce guild kiosks, which let guilds bid on one of a few different kiosks spots from which they can sell to the general public.

I really like the idea of guild Kiosks, this could even be implemented via Guild Upgrades. I also completely agree with his views on no auction house, as a merchant myself I enjoy the current trading system. There is a lot that could be done to improve but an auction house is not the way.

Command centre, a guild hall with special guild crafting stations. Crafting stations attributes could be the same as spellcrafting that they're gonna introduce. And pieces crafted will bear the guild's name e.g. Guild name is Dark Brotherhood, it will be "Dark Brotherhood's Dagger"

Different shrines available for construction that offers different buffs!
Lootable furnitures and containers purchased with the guild gold.
War Room or Armory that has random lootable equipments upgradable with guild gold but sells at 0 gold and offers no deconstruct value.
Guild farms with ingredients, and allows more produce with upgradable NPC farmer, or better still, player are able to maintain the farm!
Assorted merchants offering goods from guild store to ease searching pain! (but goes on FIFO inventory selling)
Guild mines! Guild dwelves with enchanting nodes! Guild horse branding and tabards! Guild forest with leather cattles and woods!
Guild crafter kiosk! Where people post craft requests and place materials, then upon completion of contract the crafter is awarded xp! Requested item is mailed directly to buyer's mail!
Guild crafting station linked to guild bank for players with access!

OMG there's so much they can do with the guild system.
People keep telling me they're gonna buy me an ale. They never do.

There are only two things I can't stand in this world. People who are intolerant of other people's culture. And the Elves.

    I know right!

There definitely needs to be a Guild Hall type building in every town (similar to Mages/Fighter's Guild) where we can build and upgrade certain hotspots. I don't know how this would work with us being able to join 5 guilds at a time, but something like this would make for a much stronger community.

They can make a portal just like the ones to Eyevea. Or maybe some random teleporter that transits you to whichever guild hall you have access to.

But knowing ZOS, they'll most likely give you a teleport stone for each faction that you might lose, or clogs up the inventory and bugs the UI.

    Lols jk.

House cut goes directly into the ether, and is not kept by the guild shop at all. Just vanishes.

I know currently it just vanishes and i don't expect if this is ever implemented that we will have all money from previous transactions. But this is what i'm suggesting, instead of vanishing we get to use that money to upgrade our guilds.

I think it would be alright, allows everyone to start on an even playing field. After all, these upgrades shouldn't be something you can buy all in one day. Or similar to traits there would have to be a build/upgrade time meaning guilds can't build everything for at least a few months.

IMO this could really define guilds for what they are, Trading guilds would go for things like more items to sell/more bank space, PVE/PVP would go for Buffs ect, Roleplay - Emotes and more Customization, Crafters - Crafting Kiosks, mines, farms ect.

It would all be really cool and game changing depending on how they implement it. But honestly if there is a place with all the crafting stations nicely placed together, I would be pleased, not satisfied nor impressed, but pleased.

The point is to remove gold from the game entirely. Poof. Gone.

    Its an anti inflation mechanic.

Its why things like horses are so expensive.

And the gold would still be removed in the form of Player-Player Currency, instead it would just be like say, a guild currency that you gain from selling items in the store (there could also be other ways to earn this currency) that you can then use to build things to improved your guild. The money would not be brought back into the game.
