What color items should I be deconstructing?

Does anyone know if you get better materials from deconstructing better quality items? (Blues, Greens, etc.)
I always vendor some of my items and deconstruct the rest. But I'm trying to figure out the smartest way to do it.

✭✭✭✭✭Yes, the item quality does affect the chance of getting better tempers.
When i start out, i usually deconstruct everything to get my crafting XP up. Once i reach level 10 in a craft, i only deconstruct green or better items and start selling off the white ones for gold.
Of course, anything with needed traits goes into the research bin, regardless of color.
