Error 201?
About two days ago I first got the Error 201. I had played the game a day before and then the next day it wouldn't work. I'm sure it has to do with connection of some sort because the game also says "Cannot retrieve announcements" underneath the announcement box. I have tried repairing the game and I've checked for updates 3 times. I tried allowing it into my firewall and I did everything that Zenimax says to on the forums. It still won't work, please help.

My last log in was 2 days ago and I successfully installed the latest patch, no problems. Today, I can't log in

Just curious, are you starting the game from the launcher? Can you try starting the game straight from the .exe file?0 -

The error 201 could be due to an updates problem.
Could you check any updates that your launcher didn't install ? Also, you can try a repair.

NeptuneTide✭✭✭@ZOS_PierreL , thank you for the info! I managed to fix my issue. Didn't realize my Norton had it's own firewall and it had somehow blocked ESO on its own...weird

Launcher was set to 'auto' and eso was set to 'block'
It happened just after an auto updated for norton' so it's obviously got a bit confused afterwards!!These are not the sweet rolls you're looking for - Now move along before I put an arrow in your knee.1
