I recently resubbed, after a month away, and am working my way up VR again. The break did me good - I am enjoying the game for what it is, a massive online mostly single player experience, and I feel happier about stopping to smell the flowers. Or sulphur, in my case.
That said, it's tough going being melee stamina... When I switch to bow/staff, I can do content much more easily than 2h.
I am constantly trying new ideas for melee, and most stuff is doable with creative approaches, but, it's undoubtedly more challenging. (Plus I am a werewolf, a self-imposed gimp option, which is my fault, so be it.)
This is not a complaint - the game is what it is and I came back with eyes open, and am having fun - but I do question whether this is as intended.
When, if ever, will we see stamina skills boosted, or are we currently where the devs want this to be? It might not even be a bad idea, having a hard mode and an easy mode... pure balance is impossible, and different players like different levels of challenge. Many single player games offer different levels of difficulty, and this is an effective way for a persistent online shared world single player game to do the same thing.
But I am struck that the stamina magicka issue - despite being a widely accepted 'truth' of the game, still barely seems to be on the radar screen re game tweaks. Has anyone heard anything to the contrary?
