Medium Armor Passive "Dexterity" Change Suggestion

Since stamina is being used for quite a few things, why not add another passive buff to "Dexterity" by borrowing the passive "Evocation" from Light Armor? You could also streamline the two skill lines by changing up a few things like:

Dexterity: "Reduces the Stamina cost of spells by 1% per piece of Medium Armor equipped. Current bonus: 0%"

move crit to "Agility" but keep it in line with "Prodigy" from Light Armor (10% crit).

You should obviously try to increase the percentage on Dexterity, as I can see it being a little too low for Stamina users, or either you increase the percentage on "Athletics".

What do you guys think?

    It should be like this....

Light: Spell Cost Reduction, Spell Crit %, Spell Res
Medium: Stamina Cost Reduction, Weapon Crit %, Dodge Chance

A small dodge chance to single target damage (probably 7-8%) would add to damage mitigation something similar to the Spell Res soft-cap light armour gives you.

That would bring the armors in line, but then the focus must be weapons. Reducing the cost is one thing, but unless they do comparable dmg to spells they're still not gonna be used.

For example think of the hardest hitting attack from 2h line, Uppercut. It does the same dmg as Lava Whip for DK. One is instant cast and can be used with animation cancelling of light attack to do way more damage, while the other takes 1 sec. If you compare it to the sorc's 1 sec cast ability, crystal shards, it has 50% less damage and lacks the range. Not to mention that with a 1sec cast in melee range, you're just asking to get bashed and stunned.

It's both the weapons and the armour that are inferior and they both need looking at.

Light and Medium should be very similar as both of them are really designed for damage dealers. The quickest fix they could do right now is to change the passives up a bit in Medium to make them similar to the Light Armor skill line.

The weapon Crit you get from the first Trait? dont remove that...

Replace Windwalker with a Stam cost reduction!
I play every class in every situation. I love them all.

No, you get to keep the crit in addition to stam cost reduction.

I think they need to change the agility passive or buff it, it is useless. We already have cost reduction for stamina abilities in the weapon trees. If they do add stamina cost reduction to medium armour it shouldn't be near as much as light armour. Maybe 5 to 10 percent.

Stamina users are still going to use more than a magicka user due to blocking, dodging and sprinting. Those weapon passives does not decrease Stamina for other skills such as Immovable, Evasion and Fighters Guild skills.

Stamina cost reduction wont fix anything. Stamina based skills are still scaling poorly and have inferior damage compared to Magicka based skill in general. So even with same cost stamina skills will still do much less damage.
I would more like to see Stamina based skills buff with medium armor unless stamina scaling not fixed.

10 weapon crit would be underpowered as all hell, its already annoying that mages get higher spell crit, there is no magelight for weapon crit....

If you want to make medium armor really popular, give the 5 set passive a new meaning: immunity to roots/snares :p

Just make it so Athletics applies to everything, not just Dodge Rolls.
Sure, it's a little deeper down the line, but managing Stamina dind't become a huge deal until higher levels anyway.

Part of the problem is that there are no stamina based class skills. The only non-weapon stamina skills are in the fighter's guild line.

If you did something like make all melee/very short range class skill stamina based, and scale off of stamina, then a stamina based build would be a lot more competitive. Nightblade melee skills already use weapon crit, why not stamina too? Makes no sense.

The second idea I can think of is to increase the buff to weapon damage that stamina gives. This would increase the viability of melee weapon based builds vs. staff.
