1. Flawless Dawnbreaker, weapon damage buff
2. 3 pieces of weapon damage jewelry
3. Force Shock on destro staff (Evil Hunter and fight a skeleton if you want to troll 1.3k dps)
4. Destro Staff, the weakness to elements attack
5. Gear for sustain or cost reduction but Max Magicka
6. Magelight, Precise Weapon, Thief Stone, light armor passive
7. Eat some blue food for overcharged magicka.
8. Dark Elf or Altmer has a damage bonus
9. Weave Force Shock with light attacks from fire staff with decent enchant on it.
10. Any other Max magicka buffs/spell crit/weapon damage buffs you can manage

The issue with Templar healers is that they arent any good for anything but burst.
All templar healers MUST have a Resto staff isnt that ridiculous?
Who in their right mind would bring a Templar healer without a resto staff? Templar heals isnt that great either, cuz if you ask most templars, they will only have 1 Templar heal slotted, then 3 resto staff heals and maybe 1 damage or support spell.
In long boss fights, Sorcerer will have a higher output of healing pr sec than a Templar, thats just ridiculous. Don't feel bad, the devs can't even do it if they have 1 templar in the group. 3 templars getting to 20% is pretty solid.0 -

✭Most sad thing about templar dps isn't fact that is very low but fact that it isn't one of top priorities to balance this class.
When they found that NB is bugged they made big announcements to fix it, when they realised that DK are whey too strong it was intended, put on their road ahead as plan to balance it.

Was the best I could manage, it's completely worthless, uses all magicka and ultimate, no heals except from entropy, could not do it with a two hand and shield because of the passive 10% damage from restoration staff, and I would not recommend for a real build. LOL It's not a video because I cannot buy a video recorder software, and I am not sure if trial version of FRAPs is HD enough to read the small numbers in the top left corner of the first screenshot.0 -

Mortosk✭✭✭✭Templars wont be fixed any time soon. The only love we got was the 1.2.1 change to sweeps, and now this morph heals 40% of dmg done. It gives templars a good suvival skill for pve but now the only thing ull do at vr is spam this skills cuase anything else will still get u killed in no time.
No templar love, no stamina builds love, no fun after u hit vr this is just too sad.

Really think they should refund skills in the sweeps skill since it is changing so dramatically.
But we could alternate dots like the soul magic skill that refunds magicka, stamina and health on death. Too bad it's single target. And the mage guild skill that returns health every 6 seconds, also single target and reflective light which does a dot and snare and can be morphed to hit 3 targets in between sweeps. And could use a skill like puncture with a 12 second debuff to improve our armor. But it's also single target and does crap for damage.

I don't stream or record videos. I would for this thread but the op is making his point without looking at the feedback posted in this thread. I also cant sustain dps for 5 minutes with my vr12 Templar. However, I will be able to improve that tonight when I switch to light armor.
I can sustain aoe dps for about 1.30 minutes at 1.385k dps
I can sustain single target dps at 700+ for about the same time, maybe more with clipping. I used to be able to do more.
Again though, Templar is not a direct dps class. The Op doesn't understand the mechanics behind Templar skills. Let me ask him this, does combat log statistics show how much damage Eclipse does? If you look at Templars skills, they are based around versatility, burst,counter damage, and support. Some Templar skills reflect poorly on a dps-recording addon, that doesn't mean he didn't do damage or buff someones dps.
Solar flare- has a morph that improves the spell/wpn damage of next attack. Guess what? That doesn't mean only you, the bonus is given to whatever the next attack is.
Spearshards- gives a huge magicka/stamina bonus to anyone but you. Its a group buff.
Backlash- is 1500dmg in 8.7 seconds(7.2duration+1.5cast time) which calculates to about 165damage per second, numbers I don't see logged into my dps addon ever.
Eclipse- can reflect a 700dmg spell back to its caster. That isn't seen in dps logs either.
Sunshield. The blazing morph does huge damage and procs burning light passive....except that you have to be hit for it to explode.

I think they must not have the same dmg output when alone as they can heal themselfs!
