I agree with u that a little boost would be nice especially the things like crit, vanish and so on should hav different values with higher solvents.

But i dont agree that it should be like provisioning. Prov is for long lasting buffs and alchemy is the flexible short boost for ur individual need.

Atm ur able with skills to push the effect of potions and reduce the cooldown dramatically by skills and runes so if u combine it right u can use them nearly permanent.
Imagine them be pushed more they would just be more overpowered and inbalanced.

right now i am under the belief that potion making was intended for up to level 45 or 50 and was simply forgoten about. i never have enough ingrediance to make large amounts even tho i constantly am gathering ingrediance wherever i go it still is not enough.
we need hirelings and veteren 10 or higher potion making skill tree created for us so we can expand like all the other crafting skill lines have.

I guess you haven't posted in this area much? the reason for saying that is you'll notice that not many posts in here have had ZoS comment on them. this forum is to discuss Crafting and how you do it, rather than an area to point out changes we would like. I guess that would be the new General area?

The max level for provisioning recipes is also vet5. The reason provisioning recipes last for longer is because they provide passive bonuses rather than instant boosts. Food will passively raise your max health/stamina/magicka, and drinks raise the regen, but when you are OOM, eating another chicken leg won't help you. You need a potion for that, which has a short duration but a very potent result. Potions are incredibly useful and if you have a high stockpile of ingredients you can make some good coin crafting custom potions for people. Hardcore pvpers and pvers pop them like candy in tense fights.

there are some seriously powerful potions to be made after lvl 50, just takes time getting there with alcamy and learning the right combo, some can even turn the tide in a difficult fight if used right.

its worth the time to make it, but its one of the hardest to lvl next to enchanter

alchemy and provisioning have very different purposes, and that is good. i personally wouldnt like them made more alike. in fact alchemy makes some much more powerful potions when you get to use 3 reagents.

as far as hirelings, i couldnt imagine spending a 3 skill points to get 5 or 6 ingredients a day. i suppose if someone wanted to, it wouldnt hurt, but it is not like provisioning where the only way to get some items (oats or tomatoes) is from hirelings, or the other crafts where you can get golds.

provisioning is, imo, the only craft easier to level than alchemy.

as far as mats: making them looted in pairs, perhaps attached to a passive, would be helpful to make larger quantities. but currently alchemy takes 2-3 harvests per craft, which is on par with item crafts (although they can make very low level gear with 1-2 harvests) and enchanting (3 harvests). provisioning is also usually 2-3 harvests, but it is certainly MUCH easier to farm food.
