I was just wondering if there were any plans for changes to alchemy such that currently useless reagents might someday have some use, or should I just throw them away now so they don't take up space? Again, I'm only wondering, not demanding immediate action.
what do you mean by useless? u mean the ones with negative effects? because those were put in for incentive to invest more points to not have those effects show up in potions, and balance out tricky potions like invisibility.
I can make 4 second invisibility potions with no negative effects. I'm pretty sure the plan was to be able to make potions like bombs you can use on enemies to slow them down, weaken the, etc. Was hoping that would be implemented.
Hey, guys. We've moved this thread from the Support forum to the Crafting Discussion forum so that other players can see and discuss alchemy reagents. Thanks for the feedback!
I would expect alchemy to have full functionality when the Thieves Guild and Dark Brotherhood guilds are introduced to the game. When this will happen is anyone's guess.

If you had actually done research on alchemy, you'd know this was not true. Especially since at least one ingredient has absolutely no positive effects whatsoever, and is only able to make negative poisons. In addition, snake blood is completely bugged and doesn't work when crafting potions.
You could always just make potions of Ravage Health and give them away to newbies and watch them use them thinking they are healing potions and instead kill themselves.
In the ES games, you were able to apply the poisons to your weapons, to infect your target. I've always figured something along these lines would come into play via dark brotherhood/thieves guilds introductions.
The Devs have explicitly stated that they are adding poisons, the comment was something to the effect of "soon after launch", which of course is wildly open ended. But at least it's intended!
No idea but I'm keeping on all my reagents that I don't currently use. Cuz... if I dumped them, you know that the next patch after dumping would include an alchemy update. Murphy's Law.
