WTH is going on with the interactive items? Anyone have an idea?

I was playing some ESO tonight and I found myself yet again quite frustrated at the inconsistency of the game, I like exploring and checking all houses, in the futile hope of finding a couple of the games sought after items. Recipes, Maps, Motifs, Style Traits you know instead of buying the stuff for the price of what I would presume a kidney would cost in the game.

What is very frustrating it that you play an hour or two a time due to life and when you play you need to gather resources, but it just feels that the guys are trying to kill the farmers. Which is just hurting players who play it in the true sense of the game, Given the following, what is the chance of me finding anything of value?

Wardrobe Checked 6
Dresser Checked 3
Desks Checked 2
Nightstands Checked 4
Backpack Checked 2
Trunks Checked 3
Wine Rack Checked 1
Cabinets Checked 2

Actually filled with something 4 useful.
TOTAL interactions checked 23
17% Usable (Not empty)

Something doesn't seem right here to me.

The scope of your research project is very small and limited. Regardless, 4/23 is like a 17% chance of finding something useful from general world looting... I think that is a pretty good percentage for any game.

    Define "useful" ...

For me, the ratio is more like 2/3 useful and 1/3 to be sold for gold.
    That's pretty good, i think.

Depends on how you define useful. I get loads of provisioning ingredients, and today 2 blue recipes, which I find useful.

But random is random, if they made it less random, someone would complain it's gotten too predictable.
People believe what they either want to be true or what they are afraid is true!

This was after about 2 hours of frustration. Might be a small sample, but reflects my entire night's experience tonight

I can try and record a longer section so you can see the lvl of my frustration. I must have looked at close to 200 interactive items tonight alone and if I had a 30 hit rate it would have been best case. Of those 30 hits I had a good 1/3 style materials JAY. The rest a combination of food, ingredients and lock-picks. And 1 green recipe. Awesome indeed.

BTW ingredients is much more readily available in barrels, so if that's our area of focus then that is great for you. But I focus on Clothier, Blacksmith and Woodwork and where you find these type of items is much more narrow. Sad monkey
