Not Really.
Seriously though, is no one else bothered by the total lack of anything remotely resembling cover. I am cool with arrows/fireballs going around corners (magic), but i have a problem with *through* the corners.
I do not expect to be able to duck behind a wall and hold my staff over the top and blind fire (but that would be very funny to see), but if i duck behind a stone bridge or jump into some water then the fireball should not be the same (i am picking on fireballs, but goes for everything)
I would say something about fireballs and being hit through water specifically (or jumping in water having no effect on fire even non-magic fire like from siege engines), but I will mark that up to magic.
I am used to games where a tree, rock, castle, ..., mountain can act at as cover from missiles/spells (within reason) or can create a blast shadow. If I run around a rock I should have a little relief. If my face has enough mass to absorb a fireball I would think that 20,000kg chunk of granite should at least reduce the fireball, or maybe a 6000kg mammoth carcass.
Note, it is *not* so much the reduction of damage that bothers me, but the lack of richness/realism that comes with battling (PvP or PvE) around obstacles and irritation that I have to walk around a house to kill some trash mob (that i overlooked due to disinterest) who is pecking at me with his fire stick.
I have been playing since early access and still find myself trying to use cover sometimes.
Of course there is a damage concern in vet and pvp, as being hit for 2-5k through a wall by an unseen mob is irritating.
I did not put in CS as I am not convinced it is a bug so much as a faulty mechanic, or maybe cover is too difficult a concept for the average player.
