but is going to stay because they can't just nerf every class in the game all at once and it would be to much work to redisgn every dungeon and trial.

This is simply an issue of mana skills being currently more effective then Stamina skills. They are currently balancing the classes to be more on one line.Why do we need to keep this ability pretty much toggled all the time?
Well, its because class design has us using a staff and light armor and weaving/animation canceling light attack+Health Funnel or light attack+cripple....
This may not be the intended design though....
It's the only way to remain competitive as a NB, and the resource management skills of other classes are ALL > siphon strikes because they reduce the total pool NOT the total damage (and FYI it's mostly 10% and that more or less is ONE cast of one ability)

I think the ability is designed to be a toggle switch between burst DPS and sustained DPS, nothing more. I really don't see what animation canceling has to do with anything.
