Fuzzy Targetting - or should I say Furry

Having just recently tried a magic character I noticed that sometimes I end up wasting a squirrel or a rat during a busy fight. I originally put this down to splash damage but have started to think that these furry little sods are ninja blocking my direct strikes.
Anybody else "missed" with a shot only to find a wasted rodent later?

Hilgara✭✭✭✭✭I remember a quest on a ship where I had to fight some mob. I was just powering up a massive crystal blast when the mob submitted (turned yellow) but the blast was already committed. Ended up blowing the ships cat to smithereens.1

You didn't "miss" anything. You hit exactly what you pointed at.

No, they target whatever you are pointing closest to in 3d virtual space. If you are hitting rodents in front if mobs, raise your aim a little on the mob you want.

✭✭✭✭✭I had this happen the other night in a dungeon run. It was during a boss fight, even, and I had a fully charged death stroke on my night blade get wasted on some random spider that ran between me and the target.

LOL. I can hit stuff behind me. Us sorcs are so OP.
It is the target you had when it went off. What you are pointing at may be 180 from there, in a chaotic situation. I often have no idea exactly what is even there let alone what I am aiming at. This with a 30" 2560x1600 display. In Dolman battles I often just fire into the spawn cloud before I can see anything. I consider it my job to have all the monsters, that will, lying down. Don't want anyone to get hurt now do we.
Why? Why, do we need this strange and partly broken forum. It's not new tech guys.0 -
born2beagator✭✭✭✭Was heavy attacking a werewolf with a bow in glenumbra just now. Pointing at the werewolf, it was outlined in red....then I watch as a bunny runs in front of me and my heavy attack follows that instead.
