Make the riders dismount and walk/run around on foot.

Work stations should be pedestrian only. No horses allowed.

Yeah, the things are annoying in town and there's a precedent for barring horses from towns in Skyrim - so concur. Leave your plugs at the gate.

Stables were outside town in skyrim, like I said before, doesn't make sense to buy and feed the horse in the city but not be able to ride it.

Yeah, putting plug stables in-town was a stupid move, flying in the face of established lore.

But since so few who play ESO seem to care about lore, why not? In that spirit, when do I get my starship?

Several Cities have the Stables inside the city walls, it makes no sense that you buy the Horse in the city, feed it in the city, but can't ride it in the city.

Besides too many of the cities have everything spread out, we want to get back to questing, and playing the game.

So just leave our horses alone.

P1: Yes it does, just dismount and lead your horse.
P2: So you'd like to see more congestion?
    P2: No.

Funny. I never owned a horse in Skyrim. Played over 600 hours, never had a horse.

Nope i disagree , i lvl mine all the way in speed up to 50 , because i prefer to go faster.

If you like to walk OP , walk by yourself, keep me out of it.

If you like to power-game that's fine. I like to immerse myself and RP.
I said this before in the other thread, but I also race my horse around and I don't power game. I'm only coming back to the first town to manage my inventory. After questing and exploring I return, vender what I don't need, craft, repair, and bank what's left. Then I park that character in the bank so the next time I play them they can grab anything useful one of my other characters put in there.

Let's be honest, this is really only a problem in the first town with the banks. If the wayshrine, bank, and crafting stations/merchants weren't so spread out, you wouldn't people rushing from point to point and back again.

I actually don't ride in the cities, not because I don't want to, but because I popping in all the house and looking for racial motifs, haven't found Imperial, Redguard or Nord yet, I have Orcish on all four characters though.
(also haven't found Ancient Elf, Barbaric, Deadric, orPrimal either, but can wait for them)

The thing about riding in cities is, is should be possible, these are medieval style cities, horses would be the main mode of transport. I don't want them in buildings. But riding them inside a city isn't wrong, any more than driving a car along your local town's roads is wrong.

nice pic. This is taken in London, for info these are known as Garden Seat horse buses, because the seats on the top deck face forward and resembled garden seats of that time. The image is probably taken in the very early 1900's because of the fashions. Horse buses of this type ran until 1914 but motor buses go back to the 1880s. At this time bus routes didn't have route numbers and the buses were often painted different colours to indicate the route.

The building in the background is the old Mappin & Webb department store, closeby to the bank of England and demolished in 1994.

The bus on the right is flying the Union Jack flag. This means it was probably operated by the Road Car Company which was known as the "Union Jack" bus company because it flew the flag on its buses. This company was taken over by the London General Omnibus Company in 1908, which means this pic is prob prior to 1908.

Because it does not look right.
You do not get people galloping around cities and towns on horseback.
You do not get people on horseback using work stations.

I always get dismounted when I interact with a workstation while on my horse, so that is a moot argument.

As for horses in cities: yea, you don't see people galloping around most cities now days on horseback, because the vast majority of us don't ride horses, and even fewer ride them as a primary means of transportation. There is absolutely no reason the people of Tamriel would be restricted from riding their horses in town.

Your logic is short sighted, and this thread is just more clutter on the forums; your opinion does not need to be implemented.
If you like to power-game that's fine. I like to immerse myself and RP.

If you like to RP that's fine. I don't, so keep me out of it and don't force me to adhere to your RP rules.

I enjoy this game, but banning the use of mounts in some these hugely spread out and poorly designed cities and towns would likely lead to me finding a new game to play. I like to spend my time out questing and doing dungeons. You know, actually playing the game. Not endlessly running back and forth in town between the bank and various crafting stations on foot when I want to craft new armor or break down stuff that I picked up. That would just make the entire process needlessly long and annoying.

Not all of us want to RP as a poor serf that can't afford a horse and has to walk on foot, up hill both ways with nothing but newspapers on our feet to get to the potato fields every day.

yes you do, those people were jerks in horse days, if anything, lets have NPC's yelling at me to slow down on my horse, but no that suggestion would be very inconvenient just to satisfy your immersion
