Interrupting enemies that are too strong

So I know there's several discussion about this but I'm not able to find the exact answer. I was in Drublog Chieftain tower killing a boss with a NB/DK team, neither him or I could interrupt the boss regening health, we eventually out dps'd him to death but man that took awhile. So I tried my "venom Arrow" and got the "the enemy is too strong message" then I tried the traditional "Block tap LMB" and nothing, the DK tried "Shield Bash" repeatedly and nudda.

So what do you do to interrupt enemies who are "To Strong" for your interrupt skills to work??

I can't remember how that boss fight was but I have never seen a interrupt specific skill be impossible to interrupt with a shield bash. Healers are a bit tricky because sometimes their heal is almost instant so if you interrupt a 0.5 second to late the interrupt works but the target is already full health. Cassia Varo shows this the best at VR9 half failed interrupt was enough to get her full health . The CC and interrupt skill are less reliable than bash though so in the end you have to do it the hard way for some nasty bosses..

kk maybe that it was it then, the shield bash was a bit late, I'll keep an eye on it for next time, thx for the reply.

Yes, your best interrupt is your 'bash' basic skill [Mouse Button (MB) 2 + MB 1]. It's your primary interrupt. Like PBpsy above, I've never had my basic bash skill miss either on an enemy skill that can be interrupted, regardless of the enemy.

In fact, MB2 +MB1 is likely - in my humble opinion - probably the single best combat skill we have, as depending upon the situation we we'll block/interrupt/break-out of stun/etc. I find it so very useful.

If you can be anything, be kind.

Lag can be a big factor in this as well. Sometimes bosses start healing before the animation appears.

I've been trying to figure this out forever 'cause I die too damn easily. And, I think the lag is a big part. My interrupt (LMB+RMB) bash works maybe 1in5 times... maybe. I think it's because my frantic mouse and keyboard onslaught overwhelms my connection speed. Very, very frequently I'm stuck not able to do anything until everything 'catches up to real time." With me dead, of course. I'll let you know if my neighborhood ever gets reasonable network speed - 'til then, when you hear howls of outrage from way up NorthWest, that's me, and it's NSFW.

Yeah I figure that's what gets me killed most times , but damn... this boss just kept on healing, I'm watching it for next time and will report back here if I fail again, I'm also practising interrupts now, even when I don't need them.

One thing you can try is rebinding the interrupt to a different key. I noticed it didn't fire off for me a lot using the lmb + rmb and remapped it which seemed to make it work more consistently.
