Noobish question re: zone completion

I avoid, as best I can, the various maps and videos which show all of the available content in a zone. I love that ESO is so condusive to exploration and am doing just that. However, I can't always be sure I've done all of the content in a given zone, and I'd hate to miss anything.

With the sky shards, there is a handy achievements list with cryptic riddles. These have been great fun and I've found all but one in Auridon.

Finally, my question: is there such a list for quests, dungeons, etc., in game?

Not really...when you hit veteran levels, it's nice, that you get cadell's alamanc, which shows you which quests are the "main" quests for each zone that give you skill points.

Usually, you can look at a map, and if there is a hollow icon, there are still quests to complete in the area...if it's a solid icon, you've completed all that area's quests.

There is an achievement list for quests in a particular zone. I believe it's under quests, then pick your alliance, and then you'll see the particular zone. It's more a progress bar than a detailed list, showing x amount of quests completed out of a grand total. There's also a similar setup for exploration where you can view all of the unusual places you've visited in a zone.
The best indicator is the map itself where black icons are incomplete and white icons signify completion. When you visit dungeons you may be on a quest or simply exploring. If you're on a quest, seek out quest completion and also an achievement for completing the dungeon. If you're simply exploring, you may get the achievement, but may not have completed whatever quest is associated with the dungeon.

Basically just look at the map. Most of the quests are centered around 'areas'. Look for buildings/roads/pathways and just go explore that area. The quest markers show up on your compass at quite a significant distance and map icons as well.

Where is this almanac at? My main quest just says explore ebonheart.

if you completed main quests to the end you will talk to cadwell at some point in the habourage... to access the almanac... press J for journal... there should be some tabs and one of them having cadwells almanac in them.

Thanks for the replies. I was going by the black icons on the map, but, of course, those icons only show up when you go into the area of the map,or pick up a quest. I was thinking more of an achievement thermometer, like the alliance quest gauge, but for an individual map. I'm about to head off to Grahtwood and I'd like to know that I've done everything on Auridon. Just now, during my lunch break, I was hunting down the last of the sky shards I needed and came across a public dungeon, with the shard and a couple of extra quests, that I didn't even know about.

It's not a serious issue; just my completionist OCD nagging at me.

If you bring up your journal, click on the quest tab at top right, then select your faction from the list on the left of the window, a pane will open to the right showing each map and also other sundry achievements. If you click on the map name you will see a bar which will be part filled and marked with the quests you have done and those outstanding, something like 25/42, won't tell you WHAT the quests are, but at least you know when you have them all

I'll have to check that out. That sounds like just what I'm looking for. I don't want to know what the outstanding quests are, just if there are any.

Most zones have between 2 and 7 extra quests, so you may need to wander around the map and get all the quests/areas to completely complete it.
