ok I would like to says oil pots need to be looked at
1.you can put them down on any flat surface like in a house, at a door, etc?
2. you can put mutli ones down very close to each other?
3. you can dump you at your feet on a fat surface and not get hurt?
this is making taking a keep etc almost impossible. I hope this is brought down to a more sensible level. A hand full of people are able now to hold off And farm kills on a horde of people.
What are your thoughts on this? I am kind of looking at this as an exploit.

Everywhere else you can see it, time your purge/negate/purify/banner/etc.
It would be nice if it wasn't possible to use it on the immediately adjacent ground, but otherwise it's fine.

I acctually think that was the OP's entire point, ppl didnt understand him that's all. He doesnt want you to be able to use it on flat ground and pour it at your feet. He means there should perhaps be a height minimum?
I don't think its a priority but it is kinda weird pouring the oil straight at your feet.

This game isnt based off history... this is fictional.
By that logic lightning ballista's should be taken out

The basic thought of all siege weapons in every game is based off of history cause they existed and all had a purpose. which mimic the use in the game. Oil pots one purpose was to be poured over sides of castle and keep walls to protect the gates and burn those who try to climb the walls. The fantasy of the game adds the lightning, cold etc etc.

You're right, they mimic the use. Oil pots purpose was to, well, pour oil on the enemy and that is exactly what they do.

Ok....ill feed the troll once more.
Oil pots were not mean to be ground level and just poured on the ground in front of you. they were designed to be poured down over the edge of a keep.
Still hungry come at me again im bored at work, got 20 minutes left.
This game seriously needs friendly fire.
"Oh look, I'll just deploy an oil during combat, and burn the guy next to me, but not myself, cause I'm immune to my own burning".

Friendly fire may be, by far, the worst suggestion for PvP. Cant take a keep? Hop on any of your ults, travel to the keep, burn your entire team while the other faction rushes in. There have already been people going on an alt and pulling people up walls for keeps for easy invasions and such. That is just one example.
I cannot think of a single game where friendly fire has been used well.the.dzeneralb16_ESO wrote: »This game seriously needs friendly fire.

Friendly fire has been done in many games, and it works. There are penalities for abuse, including not being able to use any abilities for a time (timeout for babies).
Ok, you got me. I've even played both those games, should have thought of it.Eve Online, Planetside 2.
Imagine if you had to use your brain to deal with any combat situation.
Good teams would still run around AEing (each other) and still living. Bad teams would all die to each others AE.

Anyone who disagrees with you is a troll? Great way to live.
The simple truth is they were, in this game, designed to be placed on the ground, ledges, floors,etc...
Many people have stated, they are not OP, they are easily avoidable, and they can be stopped in many ways. If anything I'd say they need a slight buff to reload time or turn rate.
