    It doesn't take any passives or enchants into account, which according to someone who sent in a support request and posted in another thread, they've said they are going to fix in an upcoming patch.

    So you think it is ok to let people spend skill points speccing for passives and ZOS can just randomly decide when to ignore them. Yet claws, bats, etc (list goes on) can all be spammed with no similar per cast increases and are a much larger pvp problem? If they were going to make a change like this it should have been across the board for ALL spammable abilities that ANY ability cast again within 4s of itself would have that 50% increase for ALL classes since they don't seem to get the point that in mmos disabling abilities should not carry high damage as well.

    Nope, don't want that. Just wondering, we all know WHY it was nerfed in the first place...but if this nerf doesn't FIX the initial reason why ppl were upset in the first place...then what's the use of nerfing it?

    Anyways. Still too early to tell. Lets see when more time has passed if this nerf has REALLY brought the sorc in line or not. Plus as this thread states...the nerf is not "nerfed as intended" anyways. So i'll forestall judgement till it's all fixed.

    Why did people want it to be nerfed anyway? The name says it, it's for escape.
    Nightblade could do the same with popping to different targets with lotus fan, or run fast with path of darkness skill.

    Sorcs could BE around without stopping. Broken skill.

    I know it might be a surprise for you, but every other class travels around the world using a horse - look for one.
    As for BE usage in the battle - the first use costs the same as previously. So you will have to plan better tactics than just: hit and run ;-)

    What bothers me most is the random increase of the skill, since everyone is going to have those passives. Honestly just make it 100% more if you want, so long as it isn't 78.9%

    I know it might be a surprise for you, but every other class travels around the world using a horse - look for one.
    As for BE usage in the battle - the first use costs the same as previously. So you will have to plan better tactics than just: hit and run ;-)

    except first cast doesn't get me out of range of any gap closer.

    and wut, your have problem with BE because it can be used for travel? and you think thats "op"?

    What you wrote just isn't an honest statement. The only ones BE'g without stopping were the hackers using JuJuBoSc or something similar that were able to tele without mana expending. It was reported to ESO with the websites and they have done nothing to stop it. Not even a client side lua check for modified files. Myself as a sorc couldn't catch the cheaters. And as for your claws comment anyone in pvp can call bull on that. We see it daily.

    Great, another sorc skill they tried"fixing" yet broke it instead. At this point I'd rather there be a few OP skills in the game than have Zeni break attempt to fix/nerf them.

    I have no issue with the change to BE (if it was working correctly), but if they are going to raise the cost that much the range needs to be increased to to bring it in line with the gap closers. Right now it NEEDS to be used at least twice in rapid succession to take you out of gap closer range. I say increase the cost of a second use even more and change the range to 28 meters. Then one use will effectively take you out of gap closer range (or close to it) without it being impossible for your opponent to catch you again. Making the second cost even higher will prevent spamming, and I mean MUCH higher, like 3 casts and OOM. Now the skill will allow you to ESCAPE (note. escape IMO means taking you beyond max range of your opponent, NOT miles away from them) with one cast but prevents more than 2 or 3 casts in a row.

    I think this would balance the skill quite well as long as it works properly.

    Just for the record, I play a sorc and as much as i like this skill the way it is, I do see that it needs A LOT of tweaking still.

    they don't need to because they are melee classes by and large, why do you want melee class to stay away anyway?

    Nightblade escape has many counters, sorcery does not. You cannot counter the sorcery bolt escape pre-nerf

    Um what? Did you just say that a nightblade has to use 2 different powers to get away? Lotus fan snares, sure, but any gap closing ability negates that aspect, as it would negate the path of darkness. Also, both of which will keep you in combat, so you wont be able to hide.

    You can hide with dark cloak, which is spammable can also remove dots from you and make you untargetable. That's just sweet seeing those nightblades cry that sorcerers have OP escape skill :D

    Nerfs always happen in MMOs, but I wish Zenimax had the decency of refunding the points spent in something that had been nerfed, let players choose if the nerfed skill is worth it anymore or use the points on something else.
