I have tried and I beat Molag Bal. Shame Sai had to die this time, not that old fart Varus.1 -

Managed to get beyond the Yeti & Bugs Bunny scene (I'll hold and love you) - Molag Bal holding me in his hand and breathing on me bug, engaged in combat and got him down to 0% health and just bugged out there instead.
He just stands there like a lemon at 0% health and nothing happens.
Thoroughly sick of doing this quest over and over now.

I too DPS'ed him to 0% and he got stuck. Something I saw mentioned in another thread said that when Molag Bal gets to like 5 or 6% to stop DPS and he'll go into a cutscene shortly thereafter. Haven't tried it yet but you might want to give it a shot. Good luck.

Thanks Mallow after reading your post I summoned the willpower to go do it for the seventh or eight time and finally got through bug free.
Although I am now stuck constantly falling through the world in Auridon.

Call this a feeling, but when you introduced Craglorn, didnt you make some kind of mistake and built it on some old patch? Cause after Craglorn, it mostly feels like if you erased couple of more recent patches and replaced it with PREVIOUS version of game which you patched with Craglorn.

But still i got one bug. When i start fighting with Molag I died because I forgot to roll dodge. Anyway the problem is that when I revived my health got stuck at 79%. During the whole fight I couldn't raise it above 79%. When I killed him it went to 100%, but still if I wasn't vr1 and have more than 2k of health it would have been a problem to kill Molag with only 79% of my max health.0 -
miki_00Soul ShrivenMy first walk through was a few days ago before the fix and he'd just hold me or drop me to my death. After the fix same thing was happening.
I am trying to do the quest again now and he finally picks me up and I am able to put a hole in his chest where he drops me. But now I die from one hit. He's doing 3k damage to my character and no blocking in this entire damn game helps. I think when I got disconnected from the game and logged back in the Amulet of Kings buff disappeared for some reason. Not sure how to get it back.
I have finally passed him! After much re-loging, /stuck / fixing it finally allowed me to pass without glitching out.Edited by miki_00 on June 6, 2014 6:35PM0 -
BunkerPantsSoul ShrivenFirst time hitting this quest and same problem as described though the first time through I was getting dropped and shook around, second time through after logging I am getting dropped and dying - all with out any input from me.0

BunkerPantsSoul ShrivenToday's hotfix worked for me, no issues....I would have thought that I would have leveled though all the way to 50 (seeing as I was about at the halfway mark on 49) and would have been granted a skill point or two (not given a single one)...
Maybe it is good enough that I got my character's soul back?

I went through the map as normal, picked Varen as my sacrifice, some killing, later, after being grabbed by Molag Bal, he just stands there shaking me, no prompt to zap him, nothing. I've relogged to reset the last portion of the quest, same thing. It did this yesterday as well - he'd grab me, then nothing, just me in the hands of Molag Bal while he stands there roaring at me.
Experiencing the same thing for the last three days... Coincidently my first char was locked out of progression on the same quest during launch for 3days. Which bug did you fix? b/c as of 10seconds ago Molag Bal was still dropping me to my death every time I tried to engage him

My bug would progress from being dropped and shaking around to being dropped and dying to being held and growled at....I'd hit all three. The first time through the last hotfix (about 5 hrs ago) I made it all the way through.0 -

Usstan✭✭Bug is still here, going through the mission, one death to the battlemages, then selecting Varen and going through to Molag Bal, he picks me up, then drops me without any prompts at all, respawn ad finitum .

pborerb16_ESO✭✭✭Just wanted to report that for me doing this last night, everything worked fine. Selected Varen, was able to use Sacrifice of Courage on Molag Bal, and defeated Molag Bal after a few deaths. So doesn't seem to affect everyone who selects Varen.1
