However, due to the need for more awareness around my character I find myself needing to switch out of 3rd person more often. However, I really wish that there was a 1st person availability when mounted.1

Really? I feel like combat forces me into first person, which is why I keep the camera so close to my avatar. Fighting with the camera zoomed too far always makes me hit the wrong target!Edited by Lynnessa on June 10, 2014 12:42AM0 -

I prefer 3rd person.My biggest problem with 1st person view is that its not realistic so it is very handicapping. No peripheral vision, no ability to turn your eyes and head easily from side to side automatically as everyone does. Right now 3rd person is the only way to get a good consistent sense of what is going on around your character.1

I prefer 3rd person.ATM I play purely 3rd person, but on the PTS I play 1st.
That FOV rocks and I can see pretty much as I can currently in 3rd on live with it at max

Thunderchief✭✭✭I prefer 3rd person.I think first person would be cool in pvp if everyone was forced in to it. Would allow for more tactics and flanking etc. Right now if someone flanks you you can see him right there on your screen with the other guy in front of you.
Would also allow for sneak attacks because even though they are in range you still won't be able to see them if they are behind you.0 -

Third person makes me feel like I am pulling the strings of a marionette that is adventuring in Tamriel. I think 3rd person gives an edge in combat, but I just can't put up with the visual effect.0 -
Lunerdog✭✭✭✭✭I prefer 3rd person.Oddly enough I've always played first person in previous TES and Fallout but in ESO I'm always in third person view.
Have to be for my NB with daggers anyway, my little dance of death means I circle my opponent so quickly that the first person camera bugs out.
