Is Stamina, Health, Magicka enough?

Seems like there should have been at least three more attributes, perhaps two handed weapons should have had their damage modified by Strength or Might? perhaps light weapons and Bows by Agility? Maybe medium weapons a average of the two? Magicka attacks by Intellect? Perhaps all stamina and magicka should affect is how many times you can use your abilities but not how effective they are?

I will still look across the lands from my perch at Arrius, Nerf or no I will still be the Night. I may not be the hero Ebonheart Pact wanted but I will be the hero Ebonheart pact deserves.

Certainly isn't. Look back at morrowind and you will see proper attributes such as strengh, intelligence, agility, etc.. They've dumbed it down further and further each game since then.

I can not imagine it would be that hard to fix this trend, maybe add in the other three attributes and adjust attribute points to match in a future major patch? I would think this would allow for more variety in character builds as well as more gear/enchantment variety.

    figure each point in...

strength adds to weapon damage for medium and heavy weapons as well as modifies light and heavy attacks.

Agility adds to weapon damage for light weapons and bows as well as modifies chance to dodge incoming attacks.

Intellect modifies damage of magicka attacks and modifies resistance to same.

stamina, health, magicka increase resource pools.

IIRC this is kinda what DaoC did

Stats would easily allow people to tweak their gameplay more, instead of this cookie cutter broken bull crap we have right now. If someone wants to stack strength and crit, slap on a two-handed sword and cleave people in half? Good for them. Want a high magicka pool and regen so you can heal, sacrificing your ability to do damage? Let people do it. In addition to powering up health, magicka and stamina, give people a +(x) to a stat such as strength, dexterity, wisdom, etc. Instead of base health pool and regen, Constitution could serve as a defensive stat, increasing resilience to spells and damage.

Just start with the Morrowind attributes and tweak as needed:

    Agility
    Chance to hit
    Block
    Dodge
    Bow/Dagger Damage

    Endurance
    Max Health
    Health regen
    Max Stamina
    Stam regen

    Intelligence
    Max Magicka
    Spell Damage
    Destruction staff damage

    Speed
Rate of movement when walking, running, and swimming

    Strength
    Damage for all other weapons

    Willpower
    Max Magicka
    Magicka regen
    Magic Resistance
    Healing staff damage

Instead of putting attributes points into HP/Mana/Stamina, we would level up the above attributes. Health, Magicka, and Stamina would all be derived from these stats. This is pretty standard in MMOs and RPGs and even in most of the Elder Scrolls titles..
