so seriously, the ability is living up to its name now. You still out DPS NB's and Templars.

Character: Eros, Eros I I, The Paw of Woe
Class: Templar Healer/MagWarden/ Stam Sorc
Alliance: DC
Campaign: Vivec (pc/na)
Guardians of Daggerfall

Yeah it's not called "Bolt Everywhere", especially around people in PVP 50 times a second so they can't see you while you can still attack them.

idk about that, my sorc can't 100-0 someone in 2 seconds like a NB can

and well played templars will kill you, not so fast, but walk away with full health, so idk man

granted the change to BE was needed.

My current V6 Templar runs at around 300-375 DPS. A little more on Vampires due to Reflective light and Fighters guild passives. Against some my dps can drop as low as 250. And you won't get a build much higher without switching to resto/destro combo.

My V6 sorc does the same, usually 300-400, can burst to 700 if shard-curse-shard (instant proc) successfully in a roll.

But constantly 800? Not sure how to achieve that.

btw, I know I need more spell power (96 atm) and crit (30% atm). But my shard already does 660 dmg, would more spell power and crit chance really be able to push me to sustained 800 dps in 1 minute? what skill rotation would that be?

I'm not sure about that because I haven't played a Sorc. The reason the Templar is seen as being week mainly comes from our poor resource management. It's hard to explain how fast a Templar drains them. Basically we only have one ok AoE and it's not even AoE it attacks 3 targets if two are really close to the original target. So with the poor resource management Templars have trouble in a lot of situations taking out even a single enemy before their resouces run dry. I run a full light set and still struggle with it. I have found ways to win a lot of 1v1s. If a Templar builds their toon around DPS they are doing it wrong. We cannot keep up with the others in that regard. What we can do is annoy the *** out of casters with Eclipse. Templars even underestimate this ability, specially with how usefull it is against ai casters when capping resources outside keeps. Though if the Devs get wind of a useful Templar skill it will probably be nerfed. lol

I definitely underestimated eclipse as well. After seeing how it completely shuts down sorcs (they either just hold a block, BE, or crystal fragment themselves in the face), it's always on my bar.

Eclipse is really good , templar got good CCs for a single target actually.

It becomes an issue when we have to deal with multiple at once , then things get ugly fast if we dont run to volcanic rune :P.

so seriously, the ability is living up to its name now. You still out DPS NB's and Templars.

Nightblade has 2 builds than can knock off 75 percent of someones health coming from stealth. If they do not use them they can still open up with ambush to veiled and make CC break not work and work ppl down that way. How is sorc pvp dps better than NB again?

Currently CC break is busted and you cannot activate it when certain CC is stacked through abilities. AKA nightblades dream ganking right now...

They're only that good from stealth. If you make it past that first barrage of dmg, NB's have no good ways of sustaining a fight and more often than not just invis away to try again. That's what they should do and it's a fair trade-off. Sorcs have great DPS throughout.

And about the perma-stun thing...I hear people complain about it but I can only imagine they're exaggerating. I've played plenty of PvP and have never been stunned 'til death. Maybe I'm just lucky, but I've never not been able to activate CC break when I should be able to.

    Why don't call Escape bolt?
History, like a human being, is thirsty when it wakes from its slumber…History wants to drink up an enormous amount of blood. And even if history has tired of drinking blood, that’s only in regards to the amount. But what about quality? The larger the sacrifice is, the more delighted the cruel gods will be.
