    This is a pvp thing, right?

    Yes. Pve is too easy to worry about any skills being taken. I would feel confident with any skill line-up in pve.

    Most people here don`t even understand what is going on... he is not asking them not to nerf the skill, he is asking them to remove the undocumented change aka bug.

    Bolt Escape now costs more if you cast it within 4 seconds AND reduces magicka regen... it can`t be both. One or the other, its clear they went with the cost increase so remove the magicka regen penalty....

    Bolt Escape is our magic absorb skill, so either give DK`s and Sword + shield + templar and so on the same magicka regen penalty or remove it from the Sorc skill.

    indeed, if the regen nerf, which was on tooltip post 1.1.2, is now removed from tooltip, it should be removed from reality too.

    Also, a second bug ... the increase is not affected by our armor cost reductions so it's closer to +70% and not +50%.

    I have only with light armor passives on. 251 Magicka on the first cast, 446 magicka on the second ... 78% INCREASE!

    A nerf to cost that is not affected by any game passives is a bonus nerf!

    I agree. It's way over the top. I'll give it a try to be sure, but I expect to be removing BE from my hotbar.

    Bethesda has had a very long and sad history of buggie games. I know Zos is the dev but Bethesda's name is on it and they must have some say in the matter if just to set priorities. I guess they were allowed to get away with it because their games (thinking Oblivion, Skyrim, Fallout here) were so popular. But heck, Skyrim STILL has many of the old bugs (the swimming on land one comes to mind as does broken pointer).

    I think another round of tuning is needed. Why does NB stealth have a base cost of 463 but BE's base cost is 300? wtf?

    What are you talking about?

    Base cost of bolt is 392 magicka has a +70% cost added AND a fraction of the utility/benefits of stealth.

    Kinda like how they nerfed bats BEFORE fixing any of the vamp passives, back then hmm? ^__^
    (Ultimate reduction STILL bugged on vamp stage 4 btw)

    Good fix, if a little soft. I'd rather they left BE cost the same, but you receive a 50% damage debuff for 10 seconds after use.

    The fix has come with bugs (i.e. not 50% but 78% for light armor wearers) and a magicka regen penalty for also 4 seconds.

    One fix two new bugs. Slow clap for ZOS quality of work.

    Not all skills are equal. Besides, find a post where I asked for templars to be nerfed. This thread is about BE's new bugs ... not about who has what.

    Sucks you got nerfed, but what you are experiencing is a small taste of what it is like to be a melee dps templar. All our skills cost insane amounts of magicka and we have no regeneration to speak of.

    Oh.. so now you have a skill you cannot use effectively until the (unintended bug) is fixed? Lets hope they identify the issue quickly or you will be playing for a few months, get a class thread dedicated to sorc, and they will work around said skill for a few more week at least.

    Even opponents of sorcs in general can agree that bugging a skill out is NOT preferable to WAI nerfs. So either ZOS needs to either edit the tooltip to reflect the +70% cost and magicka regeneration penalty, OR remove those effects.

    Pretty sure their vision is to make everyone suck as bad as templars. They don't mention us as weak in the road ahead like nightblades. So, they must think templars are balanced. Nightblades will be buffed up to our level, sorc and DK will be nerfed down. Then everyone will suck as much as we do and they will declare the game is balanced. YAY!

    Why not add a GCD and make the skill cost more magicka!

    It was Zenimax's failed response to the ninja nerf of Biting Jabs, you might get a kick out it!

    if NB stealth have same cost increase effect as BE, I wouldn't mind they bump up the magicka cost...
