If you trigger someone's synergy ability in a dungeon, who gets credit for the damage you or them?

I just people knew how to Use synergy in the first place -_-... tried of my group abilities which people go, "I must pew pew pew" -AKA my spiders are getting no love T_T0 -

LordEcks✭✭✭The reason most people don't know is because you cant see 'other peoples' DPS on recount "or a similar add-on".
You can only track your own DPS.
So the people who saying x dps sucks compared to y either play both classes, or are exchanging information with others.
Edit: That being said I think the player who activates a synergy gets the "dmg" credit, but I could be wrong. I don't recall seeing any of those synergy based abilities damage showing up in my recount.Edited by LordEcks on June 9, 2014 1:27PM0 -

Well, since damage meters only show your own damage, there's no measuring contest to be had. You can measure your damage, but you can't see anyone else's. The damage is done by your group, so you contribute to the boss kill. Presumably the boss dies, and if it doesn't, you can discuss who messed up which mechanics (nothing to do with damage, since your ability to not get tunnel vision is much more important in this game). So, after taking all that in to account...
