Find a positive

Every time I visit forums there are new topics complaining about another broken/messed/ poorly executed feature of the game.

In the front 2 forums pages right now are complaint/nerf threads about:
Lag
Graphics
UI
In game search tools
Specs/abilities
Guilds/limitations/functions
Cyrodil - Cyrodil siege/ keeps/ titles
Launcher (errors and other log in issues)
Players wanting others to walk instead of run
Encounters
Quest (lines, breaks, lore, voice acting)
Loot
Crafting
Devs
Customer service/support
Group function
Game's direction
Trans-platform (does it want to be pc or console, etc)
A few more but lets move on to the question,

Is there any aspect of the game that isn't broken/unappealing/negative or hasn't been complained about yet? Leave out the easy mode answer of "people will complain about anything" these are not 1 off complaints. they keep coming in and being restarted by new players that take issues with issues of former posters. So what is in game that hasn't been done incorrectly or been screwed up or poorly executed in some manner?

Dig out a positive. Anything that doesn't have several negative threads attached to it. I would even take something like "no part of the community has taken issue with Dark elf eyes." (Although I have read a few of those complaints from the RP types.

Where there is smoke, there is fire. It isn't as simple as people complain just to complain.

Good game my furry fine tuned positive friend. Now I have something to ponder while I log in and hit up anoms 1 last time before todays nerf.

Here and there, yes. And for the most part those few are easy enough to ignore or pass up. This however is in reference to complaints constantly en mass about nearly everything in ESO.

So you don't want a honest answer from others? You just want confirmation for your own negatives? Cool another thread like this ...

Anything: Any object, act, state, event, or fact whatever; thing of any kind; something or other; aught.

I mean...it's just so vague. It drives me up the wall.

Seriously though, I really like the graphics in the game. That's an important core to have.

Nothing, and I really mean nothing can ever be made that makes everyone happy, there will always be people complaining. That is just a result of different people, different tastes. So it is impossible to find something nobody will ever complain about and if there is something to complain it will result in multiple topics for sure.

That's why I always find those "people whined over this, they changed it and now they whine about that, go figure" posts so unbelievable stupid. It's just different people with different tastes complaining.

Also people tend to complain more on forums than make positive threads. With a thread you usually want to see something change, whatever that may be. If you are happy with something you usually don't make a thread about it since nothing has to be changed in that regard, in your opinion in that case.

Now for a list of things I personally am happy about in this game and this list is far from complete:
    • The looks of the gear in general, no over the top armor like in so many other games.
    • Awesome quests, I love the writing.
    • Fully voiced quests, just awesome.
    • A beautiful world to explore.
    • Random encounters that make me smile. Ranging from helping out an overconfident summoner in trouble that complains after you safe his sorry behind to getting baited into an ambush.
    • The things random npc's have to say, often completely quest unrelated, but makes both the world feel more alive and more than once made me laugh out loud.
    • War like pvp, better known as zerg style pvp. Sorry for those that hate that style, but I love it. Oh and before you say it... I admit that I am nowhere near the best pvper and yes that is part of the reason I love it. But also because it feels like a war.
    • You are not always the hero, sometimes you can be a real nasty individual with the choices you make in quests.
    • The fact that you get choices in quests. They may not effect the world, but they do effect my enjoyment of the game and more than once I sat in front of my monitor wondering what choice I would take since both seem either good or bad.
    • Generally speaking the community has been good compared to other mmo's.
    • Even though atm the balance between staff/robe builds and other type of builds is very bad, there still is a lot of freedom of choice in how you want to play your character.
    • Open world group encounters you don't have to form a group for. As long as there are others around that want the same, you can get them done.
    • Character customization. Sure it can be better, but it is good nonetheless already.
    • The long ride back to a siege after dying, worrying every second you just might run into a gank squad. Loving that thrill.
    • Sieges in general.
    • Mudcrabs.
    • etc.

Well there are really two ways to look at things when people are being negative. Do they want something fixed so they can enjoy it more, or do they just want to look for a reason to hate the game?

Personally, if I'm upset that I can't complete a quest due to a bug, I just want it fixed. Doesn't mean I hate the game if I complain about it.

But I can think of a ton of positive things to say about the game. The scenery is breathtaking. The game is absolutely huge in size. The game is easy to pick up and play, even without playing an MMO in over 10 years. The devs clearly listen and take feedback into each Road Ahead letters.

I'm still having fun, but I'm taking my time.

    Many fine words. :)

I don't PVP so can't say what that's like, but the world building is superb, the engine's rendering is brilliant and even in cities with scores and scores of characters/NPCs there's rarely any noticeable lag.

The quest system is slick and I too like there are choices which sometimes actually make me pause to think .. and then note I need to roll an alt to see the other outcome. :D

The bugs are horrible, yes, and often lead to intense aggravation which means at times one loses sight of just how good the game could be if it worked properly all the time.
