There is a 4th kind of MMO gamer, actually. And that is called the completionist. That's how I would see myself. I don't think the OP is doing anything inherently wrong as the OP does not, as example, implement bot programs to do a specific task. I do think it sad, farming the same kind of enemy again and again and again for just [I would guess] the farming mats. Truth is though, if the devs allow it to happen, its going to happen. If they don't, they need to change things so that anomaly farming is no longer something that is worthwhile.

You can complete the content without doing this kind of thing. I think really what we're seeing is that there are many players who want to continue with a zerg\faceroll approach to the end-game content. Because the VR1-10 zones actually take a little bit of effort to complete and players can currently just rock up and hit the anomalies with their faces to pick up VP so they are just choosing the easy option.

Personally I don't care, just don't come whinging here if you do this and then get bored cause there's nothing left for you to do. The game's only been out a couple of months anyway ffs.

    The way I see it

Cheating generally requires trying to manipulate the system to an unfair advantage or using a severe exploit such as item and gold duplicating.

Exploiting is when your doing something that isn't intended and then you start using that to farm/grind such as Spindle Grind.

Opportunistic is more so when you say find a way to do a boss easier than intended but don't frequently abuse that mechanic to avoid regular gameplay.
