Zenimax has produced an excellent game, and deserves a vast amount of credit (aside from a vast amount of subscription fees) for their efforts and investments. That being said, there are those who would like to participate in the forum to share their gaming experiences they've had during the last 10 weeks since the official release of ESO: those who post ideas or opinions on this forum can be likened to one who swims out too far from known waters only to be mercilessly devoured by slaughterfish.
In a world where everyone gets a trophy, and speech and thought are curtailed for political manipulation and gain, it is clear that this forum has turned into an elitist battleground for supremacy amongst those who would dare to add their impressions into the virtual record. The diversity of thought and opinion should enrich us as a gaming community, not be a whipping post for mob rule.
For what it's worth, my wife and I love this game. When we play, it is easy to become immersed in the area, the people, the monsters, the fun and the parts that wreck your stuff and make you burn up soul gems (not quite as fun, but fun nonetheless). We take our time, and enjoy the game. We level up, get tougher, hopefully a little wiser, but never worry getting ahead, getting there first, being the strongest, or being the most wealthy. When players chime in on the forums and *** and moan about nearly any subject, it reminds me that many contented players will quietly go about their gameplay, enjoy the game, and renew their subscriptions because they enjoy how they spend their gaming time and NEVER post one thread on this forum. Judging this game base upon what you read posted here is much like having an opinion about a foreign nation (having never visited it) based upon what the mainstream media spews out during a 24 hour news cycle.
Please take the time to slow down and enjoy your time in Tamriel, and treat other players with the respect and courtesy you would like extended to you. Ten weeks in on a newly released game makes none of us veterans, despite what our stats tell us.
