E3xpo

Facts are that what we post here does not carry much weight. We all bought the game and we all played/suffered the end results. Not going to poll nor am I going list a single problem or fix. It is my opinion our said collective fates will be decided at the E3expo next week. Some of you know what and how huge of an event E3 is for the industry, marketing and related hardware/software business's. Company reputations are made and broken in this single event. I have checked and Bethesda has listed as a vendor and taken floor space. It will be the international press and those there judging and doing business that will decide the fate of TESO. I invite everyone to look for E3xpo 2014 and follow the event, its always quite a show.

Bethesda doesn't run this game, ZoS just used their IP and Bethesda published it. Its just like how Obsidian used the IP for Fallout and made New Vegas.

Yeah and the game Bethesda is representing there isn't Fallout or Elder Scrolls so there is that too.

Bethesda doesn't run anything, they are solely a developer. ZOS and Bethesda are sister companies under Zenimax Media. Zenimax is the one that runs everything.

yes sir you are correct. My point is TESO will be advertised from this floor space. Make no mistakes there will be press reports and comments made on the launch and its problems. That will make an impact on what and when things happen. E3xpo is not open to the public so reporters following up on issues are going to want an answer from someone.

No you are wrong, they are there to advertise for a completely different game. Please go read some news.

Bethesda is a subsidiary of Zenimax Media Inc, but the founder of Bethesda Softworks also started Zenimax Media Inc, and later started Zenimax Online Studios to make MMOs.

Its basically the same people wearing different masks, and swapping money from one pocket to another.

That being said, unless ZOS is actually there representing the online content, E3 may likely have no official ESO coverage.

I'm not seeing where you're getting TESO is listed from that. I just see that Bethesda has that booth space. I would've assumed it'd be to talk about/advertise Battle Cry.

While industry insiders hype E3 and consumers have an absolute blast getting to attend the event these days - I would say: *Being droll but honest here; let us not forget that just like bodies of government officials the world over have 'interested lobbyists', national and international industry top-tier events have advertisers.

Do not be entirely swayed by dog and pony shows, seriously. Especially when an IMMENSE part is determined by competitive advertising funding. And it is followed up with a barrage of more online marketing moolah and print coin. Disinformation aimed at the target market is a given. Its BUSINESS. Electronic deliciousness for enthusiasts, but still BUSINESS, lol.

Also, new gaming entries, MMO indies, kickstart brain factories and lesser goddesses have been known to both thrive, and to survive the mega-excess of E3.

Are those products that are going to be shown, or just products Bethesda has been part of? That link is to Bethesda's official website, not a website dedicated to E3. Their blog post about pre-E3 stuff doesn't even mention ESO, while it does mention The Evil Within, Wolfenstein, and Battlecry.

Not saying they for sure aren't gonna say anything about TESO, but not really getting the impression that it's for sure going to be advertised either.

I have noticed that embarrassing bugs in games are often fixed quickly after MMO tradeshows like this one. It sometimes needs to get to being ridiculed by a company's peers. We will see...

    E3 isnt an MMO tradeshow...

    Electronic Entertainment Expo. E3.

Used to be a closed event only open to industry.

Dude really? Guess you need to go to the E3xpo website explain to them they are wrong and have them remove that scrolling list of 50 different category's that company's can list under to register products/services for floor space included in that list MMO's

also, consider console versions of the game have been pushed back till the end of the year or later, why would they spend a lot of time advertising the pc version, or building up hype for a product that needs at least another year to polish?

Judging from the video, they won't be the star.
People keep telling me they're gonna buy me an ale. They never do.

There are only two things I can't stand in this world. People who are intolerant of other people's culture. And the Elves.

E3 is what it is. I dont make any purchase decisions solely on what takes place there or doesnt take place there.
