As good as the top tier single-player RPG's for some of us I think.I know some friends who would disagree because they hate moving across expanses of land or having tonnes of directions to move in (seriously) while they love RPG formats.
Nope it's an Elder Scrolls game built as an MMO. Although it is an MMO it's certainly not like the ones that kept me from even looking at the genre. I despise the cartoony 3rd person run around like dolls, kind of games, despise them.dracobains_ESO wrote: »
I am sure I am like a considerable portion of this community and played at least one TES title. I have played them all personally and enjoyed them immensely. This is however an MMO. It is a Massive... Multiplayer... Online.. game. Everyone here is by default an MMO crowd including yourself if you are participating in this game. The concept comes from the TES games but this is not a TES game; it is another MMO concept with a unique TES flavor. Re-read previous definition if you must. If this is your first MMO then technically you would be a "newbie".

Tweaking templars and nightblades won't fix the underlying issue, which is magicka-stamina balance.I think it looks good. However, the biggest issue right now is Templar and Nightblade Viability in Trials and the absolute dominance of essentially everybody wearing light armor and wielding a staff and they didn't address those at all aside from "incremental improvements to Nightblade," and "incremental nerfs to Dragon Knight." Nothing about Templars.
I am in this for the long haul and don't think this product will be what I would consider "released" for a year or so. But that's the case with nearly every AAA title these days and not a one has the flexibility and exploration values this game does.

You make about as many presumptions as the dandelions in my neighbors yard. Have I ever said anything about me playing WOW? Wildstar? When people make assumptions about others it is indicative of persons who either lack a rational counter to a discussion or an inability to offer rational thought. Personally I am pondering if you are just a lonely person trying to create arguments for human interaction at this point as you debate the absurd.
There are numerous MMOs that were/are not cartoony. Your level of ignorance in this area is rather striking. You are merely making an argument based on semantics. You state in your very post this is an MMO which exactly affirms everything I said, "another MMO concept with a unique TES flavor".
The only reason you are even conjuring such an absurd confrontation is so you can somehow justify your position by casting everyone who has a different view into some dysfunctional and fictional "MMO player" camp. So you fabricate this arbitrary us and them so you can tell everyone how righteous you are and how heinous they are. Fact here Poodle guy, we all play the same game and it is another MMO no matter how distinct it may be. So if you just want to be argumentative for the sake of feeling alive or whatever purpose you have, please direct it at someone who can get paid to tolerate you. Go lie down on their couch and tell them all about the pathetic gamers who torment you.
PS. Do they have an ignore feature on this forum yet?

I actually should have said: "One would actually do that?" I was not referring to you specifically.
I have watched several MMOs in play and they kind of repulse me. The entire crowd of toons where a pile of 3rd person ones run around doing the MMO thing seems ridiculous. Since I have been playing this game I have done a lot of research into the genre. I have not changed my opinion.
The 'howls', MMO speak really, of fury that fill the forums were surprising at first, but I have become accustomed to them now.
A couple of things:
Grinding for loot is a foreign concept in TES. Certainly you want and appreciate the 'dragon mask' or whatever, and it may be useful but it's not at all the point of the game. It does seem to be the real point of many MMOs. There is some strange need I guess that is satisfied by having the 'best' coloured stuff, I still don't really get it. "I am superior, fear my fancy armor", or something like that, is what I take away. Not TES.
An attack on people who may have different opinions in a personal manner reveals your poverty. I have to, not play, this afternoon and evening because my dumb kids are doing Fathers Day. I have to go the my daughters and put up with my granddaughter and my son, the VR1 NB, while being fed salmon and fine scotch.
Oh yeah. My Dunmer main, well he is now. Crafting allows any look you want and I can swap that armor set around to fit the needs of the moment. It's a 3 2 2 basic setup I am finding works accross a variety of situations. Numbers are fun!:
No, I don't agree.
ZOS seems to have no idea how to balance their game and there's literally nothing in the near future that I'm excited about.

photo looks awfulll
Endgame IS mmo gaming. We don't drink alcohol, we drink DKP. We don't eat lobster, we eat world first progression. We don't have molten chocolate upside down cake for desert, we have organized pvp. But mostly.. we just don't drink because drunk people stand in the fire. And get kicked out of the raid.
Its outstanding.
Main point, they doing alot, in a very good way. Not hasten anything, but actually making sure stuff works as much as possible before they introduce it.
The new guilds will come. But they need to balance the game first. New skills means more balancing. I cant wait on the new guilds either, but I rather have a solid game with no more OOPS Vampires.
And patience......
I'd agree with you if the vast majority of players that are still active were still finishing up their primary campaign or in the early stages of VR content, but we both know that's not the case. Nearly 2 months into release, the majority of players fall into 2 categories:
Those already at or very close to VR 12 and those who gave up long ago because the game was too "hard"
If class balance isn't dealt with, it breaks the gaming experience for ALL VR12 Nightblades and Templars who will undoubtedly either end up rerolling or quitting the game if imbalance persists for too long (and it already HAS persisted too long for a lot of people).
Likewise, if endgame content is not updated in a timely fashion and designed with sufficient difficulty that it keeps us in the game, endgame raiders WILL leave the game for greener pastures.

Increase Templar DPS and Magicka regen, and I'll keep on paying. Also, im missing huge raids 48+ members
Items that need work to get, not only crafted, give us a reason to repeat content.

Here is a example of the kind of statements that make no sence.
So iif they didnt get it perfect out the gate, than you quit and trash the game.
Sorry thinking, in 60 days. Then you can spaz
